Little update. Changed my res. Added Hydroguard. PPM is at 80. PH is at 6.2. The root rot wasn't very bad I wash the plant with hydroguard solution cleaned all the rotten roots off. It seems to be bouncing back. How often do you guys think I should change the res water?

Bad news fellas...Looks like my stunted growth was due to root rot... The main root looked shorter today so I thought I'd see how it felt and it basically dissolved in my hands. Hydroguard is on the way. The new roots look fine but the main/original root is totally rotted. I hope it can recover...

@TheBadChoice Do you think this will work for bacteria? Also noting that I bought some Z9 enzymes too. Hopefully they don't conflict.

Really feels like the plant's growth has stunted. I'm picking up some distilled water for the res and to calibrate my PH sensor. Hopefully it has stunted because it's focusing on recovering from the light burn, which has improved a lot since I covered the light with cheese cloth.

After doing some quick reading it looks like I'm currently running sterile but live sounds more desirable. Would this effect the 3 part nutrition solution I bought or the 2 part Z9 enzymes? Or would I simply be adding another product?

That bent aluminum looks handy. I'll pick that up when I can. The instructions for calibrating the ph meter called for distilled water plus a packet that it came with. Are you saying that you can buy a solution that's already made and use it forever? Do you store the ph probe in some kind of...

I got the PH and TDS meters in today. My PPM is 171 which seems to be in the acceptable range. I didn't realize that the PH meter was so finnicky and I don't have any distilled water to calibrate it so I'll have to buy some and try again.

@PK1 I did point the air intake toward the bucket as you previously suggested. It comes out at the bottom right of the tent in my latest pics. Unless I misunderstood?

LOL am I sensing sticker envy? Good call on the air pump. Just need to think of a way to suspend it without it vibrating against something and making a bunch of noise in the tent.

@tobh Aye I found some cheese cloth! Works great! Got the lux down from 6000 to 3500. When do you think I should crank it up? Maybe when I get my first fan leaves?

I hear you. Thanks for the advice! As mentioned above I'm going to wrap my bucket in aluminium foil and I also bought PH and TDS readers. Will post readings as soon as I can.

Thanks mate! I tried dimming my light as much as it would allow and I also raised it higher in the tent. I was only able to get it down from 7200 lux to 6000. Hopefully that does the trick. If it still shows burn I might have to mitigate the light some kind of film. I'm open to suggestions :)

Thanks for the response! I think what I'll do to save money is to wrap my bucket in aluminium foil. That should stop light from getting into the bucket. After reading all the comments on this thread I decided to get pocket PH and TDS readers. They should arrive tomorrow. I'll post readings when...
