I've never heard of Zone being used in coco either, but I had some on hand so I decided to give it a try. I used it for a couple of weeks on plants in veg and early flower, seemed to be working fine, but I'd have to give it a full run to know if it's the cure. I've decided to go with your...
I handwater coco with a pump and wand, drain to waste, plants are in 2 gal pots on 4x4 trays. By the time they get their first bennie tea, it will be two weeks since the last time Zone was used.
Just read all 22 pages. Found most of the info I was looking for. Still have a couple of questions.
When a cup is referred to, we're talking 8 oz's right?
I handwater with a pump and wand. Will the pump damage the bennies? If so, I will handwater with a quart drinking cup instead.
I grow...
I have an Americaire 9k btu mini split that stopped blowing cold air. The air handler seems to be working fine and the condenser cycles on. I installed it and I had an A/C guy do the start up.
I checked the copper line connections at the air handler and they look good. The connections at the...
I ebb and flow in veg. It works great. I top feed by hand once a week with plenty of run off to keep salt from building up. I top feed through 1/4" lines, recirculating, in flower.
I also have a 2'x4' tent that I test seeds/new clones in. Ebb and flow both veg and flower. Again, I just top...
I grew original Bros. Grimm C99 back in '00 or so. Grew it for a couple of years and lost it. I immediately ordered JW's C99 F2's and grew them out, they were identical to BG's C99. This was years ago, but I would bet that today JW has the closest thing to BG C99.
I grew original Bros. Grimm...
You have the right meter. It is real easy to use.
Turn on everything in the house that will normally be on. Take the front cover off your panel. You'll see a wire connected to each breaker. Open the clamp meter and put each wire inside of it, 1 at a time. Write down the amount of amps going...
Cheap bulbs work fine. Like your friend, I've hit 2 per with cheap (Philips, Eiko, and Sunleaves) bulbs. IMO, there isn't quality or quantity to be found in a bulb.
When I started growing I always used Hortilux bulbs. A couple of years in I went to the hydro store to pick up a couple of new...
I bet they're hungry. 4 week old plants (untopped) should be 12-16 inches tall, unless you are growing a super slow vegger like Pre98 Bubba.
You definitely aren't getting nute burn at 1 ec. I start 2 week old seedlings at 1 ec in ebb and flow/hydroton, and bump it up to 1.5 ec after 10-14...
Depends on the size of light you are vegging under.
I veg under T5's, 20 on 4 off, and flood very 6 hours. I run 1.5 ec from rooted clone to the day they go into the flower room.
If your vegging under 1ks you'll need to flood more often and can run a higher ec as the plants get bigger.
Are you running a single 120 volt 1k hps on it? If so, you can get by with a 14 awg extension cord and (2) 1/2 inch romex connectors.
All you have to do is remove 2 of the knockouts on the timer case and install the romex connectors. Cut the extension cord in half and put each end through...
I have 2 years on my Active Air wall mount fans. One did stop oscillating. The screw that connects to the rotating arm broke. I removed the piece of broken screw, put in a new screw, and it works fine.
Looks like root rot to me too.
I'm a long time hydro grower. When I moved to my current spot my plants looked exactly like yours. The roots looked fine also, but they would pull away from the plant with the slightest tug. Never had a problem at my old spot, and ended up wasting months trying...
I had root aphids last year, but mine were black. No pest strips got rid of mine.
There is a long thread over at ICMag about a species of root aphid that is very hard to eradicate. People had success with Merit 75 and Bayer Tree and Shrub, both have Imid as the active ingredient. Bayer Tree...
I asked Raskal the same question on page 2. I was trying to copy and paste it, but it didn't come out right. 'Quart' was Raskal's answer to my question.
Check out page 2, post #15.
'When you say 'capful', are you talking quart or gallon bottle caps? I'm going to try a few plants in FF soil on the next round.'
Quart.....~ogr
