I always will say when it comes to almost anything .YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I brought a DIY unit from excel. I went out 3 weeks later and got 1 ton chiller to assist my cooling needs , with more room to expand in the future. Excel air will have DIY units for your needs but the prices are crazy

hey I had the same light leak problem with my 12k btu window unit I took the front off . got flat black spray paint . painted over the styro foam in the inside where the cold air comes out the best I could. after it dried I sprayed again again till the leaks weak gone.

No I understand . I was on their website briefly I didt see the 1/4hp FT but they had sizes . I'm gonna contact them . I've also seen similar 1/4 hp pumps on eBay . Ill see what they say . Once I get everything down ill be ordering stuff
