There essentially all yellow/brown now with a bit of sliminess. Some have one or two unaffected single perfectly white roots, no idea why they're unaffected.

I I've tried it several times. It certainly hurts my roots, they grow more limp with little to no branching, sooner or later rot was always showing up anyway. It would start above the waterline and eventually come down.

That was just a little over the recommended dose given by the supplier.

I should add that when I have root problems the top seems to go bad first. The upper portion of the root ball that's out of the water will start turning color while the submerged roots are okay. If I decide the plant is unsaveable and kill it I'll pull the plant which will usually come out...

I'm not having much luck getting my bulkheads to seal. I made sure the surfaces were clean and jiggle the pipe back and forth trying to get a little more turn on the nut but some are still leaking. Any tips?

I have 7' ceilings and use 8 gallon 25" spread 12 site systems w/ 3k horizontal over them and 600*2 on the side. Be careful with your height. If I let my Skywalker or JTR veg larger than ~8" they'll hit the ceiling. It might work out just about right with a lot of training and the larger spread...

Smokie, I don't change out my water. All4freedumb, at the end of your post is looks like you were talking about water uptake. I don't see that happening, they're sucking down water like crazy.

I'm on my second run. Both times after week 5-6 my plants nutrient uptake dropped off sharply. The rez still has 500ppm in it but the plants drink around 5 gallons a day so I dump RO in it everyday and it lowers the pH. Sound right?

I dump pH up into my epi about once a week. I haven't noticed it causing any damage.

Everything's back to normal. The dead period lasted about a month. I think my first hypothesis about a flood of outdoor meds was right.
