    Just another farmer friends

Welcome from another n00b! I feel the same way, bro. This place has a much more positive, mature vibe than the rest. Punk free and drama free.

    Catpiss????

A friend of mine has some "cat piss" from time to time. I don't know which one, but it literally does smell just like cat piss. No joke, it smells like cat-fawking-piss. In spite of the fact that it smells like cat piss, it's the best smoke on earth. Must be sativa-dominant, it's that...

    native soil

You can still do a fine job with the resources you have available. If you were to buy a new tree or shrub from one of those stores, they would advise you to pick up some compost and mix it approx. 50/50 with your native soil after you dig a good planting hole. You can make the job more...

Dr. Earth products, anyone? Also, fertilizer numbers in general...

Mustard. You see mustard all over the vineyards in the Winter, often in conjunction with fava beans. If you're growing out in the woods, fava beans aren't really going to be invasive and spread all over the place, mustard can. Also, fava beans are yummy to eat.

    TK Runnin soil...WTF???

Upon further reading, I believe they are 1.5 cu. ft. 1.5 liters would not be much...roughly 3 "regular" Gatorade bottles. The soil I'll be using happens to come in 2.0 cu. ft. bags, so that would make a 4 cu. ft. difference over 8 bags, thus my concern for keeping the recipe straight...

Dr. Earth products, anyone? Also, fertilizer numbers in general...

I've used almost all of their products on the various plants here on the farm, but it's only been within the past couple of months so I can't comment on the effectiveness. I used the All Purpose 4-4-4 on things like Privet and Myrtle hedges; things that did not really fit into a more...

Dr. Earth products, anyone? Also, fertilizer numbers in general...

wonder if I shoulda put this in the outdoor forum, but there isn't an organic subforum there. outdoors, the extended veg. time might dictate a desire to use the Fruit Tree or Lawn formulas...or maybe not...maybe still just go with the Rose & Flower or the Tomato, Vegetable & Herb.

Dr. Earth products, anyone? Also, fertilizer numbers in general...

Hi y'all! I'm just curious as to whether anybody has any experience using Dr. Earth's line of organic fertilizers. I'm using them all over the farm this year since I'm switching it over to organic. They contain mycorrhizae and have an extensive product line-up for different applications...

    TK Runnin soil...WTF???

Hey Texas Kid, props on the amazing garden and many thanks for the outstanding thread. Question for you on the recipe... What size are those bags of soil? 1.5 cu. ft.? 2.0 cu. ft.? I'm going to come up with a slight variation on this recipe due to logistical issues, but I want to...

transplanting...bury up to the first set of leaves?

Thank you, GG. I am indeed using the polymer crystals, pre-expanded with a tea of Dr. Earth's organic starter fertilizer and Vitamin B1 water.

    Hi 'sup?

Hello old friends. I've been away from the scene for a couple of years. I see HG is no longer around, but this certainly looks like a nice new study hall.
