The concentrates were manually dewaxed during liquid butane boil off... most of the fats would float/ball up and could be skimmed off when tubes were shot into a deep pyrex measuring cup (8cup?? iirc). You can use waxy material, too -- it just isn't optimum.

Room is killer. The 600 SE's are not quite as productive as the DE's, but for the price its hard to beat them. That said, the SE's run vert are awesome too... I've just found it tough to find the se bulbs separate from the fixtures. I bought three more DE's if it says how satisfied I am with them ;)

Thanks @symbiote420, it's always fun building a new room. That's a basement with 90" to the drop ceiling, and the lights are up in spaces where a ceiling tile has been removed. A few extra tiles have been pulled to allow natural convection, and exhaust pulls from high in the space so the floor...
