    Planters Pride Gel2Root

Thanks for this thread - I just almost picked up a pack of these! The manufacturer says it doesn't work with acid-loving plants. I wouldn't consider cannabis an acid-loving plant, maybe slightly acidic? Which has me thinking, if you could somehow lower the ph of the gel, then it might work.

Oakland, California passes landmark marijuana tax

I'd much rather have it taxed and legal than untaxed and illegal. Paying a tax to avoid the possibility of prosecution is well worth it.

    L.e.d

If you are not concerned with yields, good quality LEDS are fine. You save a ton in electricity and virtually eliminate all heat issues. I don't notice much difference in the quality of the finished product, just in the quantity. I have grown the Joint Doctors Diesel Ryder from start to finish...

    HTC Skunk IBL

I have some HTC Skunk IBLs in the fridge and have not had a chance to run them yet. Am glad you are happy with yours! I have also read that another HTC pheno smells like "the spot where a skunk sprayed a few days after a rain storm" and there is a sweeter pheno, that is kinda like grapefruit...

Arnold to explain his marijuana stance on Wednesday

Since Ahnold's ballot initiatives all failed last Tuesday, the state is facing an even steeper budget crisis. This might be the perfect time to legalize, regulate, and tax it because all of the politicians in Sacramento are scrambling to find ways to increase revenue.

Strains of Yesteryear by DJ Short

Does anyone know if the original strains from Hawaii were brought there or are pure landrace strains that evolved there? Are they sativa or indica strains? I would guess they would have been tropical sativas, possibly related to the sativas of southeast Asia.

U.S. Supreme Court rejects Prop. 215 challenge

This is another positive step in the right direction! I'm in San Diego county and was wondering whatever happened with this case. It was a big deal around here when they decided to appeal to the Supreme Court. We still have a few uptight conservatives on the county board of supervisors, but this...

    Adding a UFO

I have had success using a 90 watt UFO combined with 2 40 watt full spectrum 50K CFL's in my mother room. I made this switch a few weeks ago and am happy so far. It's covering a 3 foot by 3 foot area just fine with about 170 watts total power. Most 90 watt UFOs are about an 8-1 red to blue...
