fcuk'd up, whas the score with chopping early?

Unless she is super thick & sturdy, you should be able to take the plant w both hands & hold a 1" section w both index fingers & thumbs. If you twist slowly in either direction, it will weaken/soften the stems to the point you can bend them. Will need to do this at a few points to get her down...

gray color kinda looks like dirt on the roots

Pics will really help... a lot. Some add's leave a film on roots. Some mold/bacteria can grow on them too... both good & bad. Black/grey "sounds" bad though. Pics brother! Peace.

fcuk'd up, whas the score with chopping early?

If you yank her now, she'll be pretty harsh burning & won't get you very high... kinda a fleeting semi-high... real annoying because you know you're kinda supposed to get high, but don't. At least you should flush her for a good week (or longer) before you force chop, if you go that route...

    Please help... soil mite

Thank you all for the suggestions! I've been on these guys for a while... DF~ played w the DE powder for a while. For starters, they crawl right through it & seem to keep on going. Didn't actually trap & observe over a few days, but w top dressings, they kept coming. Problem w the DE (I...

    Please help... soil mite

Tried all of the oil products... go gnats included... smells nice though! Even a 2% dormant/hort oil only slows them down~ afraid to feed roots a higher rate. They're a hard bodied bugger... oils don't seem to work by smothering... even on the eggs??? Thank you for the suggestion~ just a...

    Please help... soil mite

I'd really, really appreciate any advice on killing a soil mite. I can't say which specific type it is, but some variety of oribatid mite. Here's a general link to what they are: www.fcps.edu/islandcreekes/ecology/soil_mite.htm Been over a year & they keep on keeping on. Simplest...

    Help - Sick Girlies!

Basically... just saying you should get the pH down, within range & then work from there. I'll wager that you will start to see visible improvement the next day. A lot of the pics don't look that far from right, but the one just dying is of concern... that one makes me think of a root rot...

    New 1500W Ballast

Retail, I'm assuming, but he said 500 for the ballast & 150 for the bulb... which was an hps... seemed about standard but the inside filament was longer. He also said the ballast will fire a mh, but do they make such a bulb? Heck I didn't even know about the 1500 hps... I'm thinking a 5x5...

    Hempy vs coco hempy

Been a really long time since used the hempy's, so really couldn't say in a side-by-side...? I've used coir cut w 30% chunky perlite w great success, esp if d2w, top-fed. Just easy as pie. Roots love it. Lots of drainage/air. Plenty of reserves depending on size of pots & plants. If...

    New 1500W Ballast

Might want to check out your local store... my guy just got in a limited release 1500W digi ballast/bulb combo from Hydrofarm. Lists on the "special" bulb at 206,000 lumens, 240V only. They state it performed better than expected under their lab test & that limited numbers are being sold...

    Help - Sick Girlies!

The pH is very high & that's where i would start. You say rw, but it looks like rw starter cubes in the rocks, so really you're growing in rocks. Either way, both start off with higher pH's... or rather they have residues that up the pH. Did you rinse prior to putting in the system...

    Planning perpetual...

You're about 10 years behind the current medi-grows! All they're trying to point out is that you can be more successful while keeping the plant counts to a minimum. You want a perpetual SOG, in it's true form... it is just a pain in the ass & highly illegal. Why make things so very...

    Help please! Powdery Mildew!!

I guess sometimes you've got to do what you've got to do...? Be cautious w any of the systemic fungicides (anything borrowed from the comm ag business) as what they break down into is usually x5, x10, x20 more carcinogenic than the actual active ingredients. Be safe!

    Planning perpetual...

So, you're looking for 4lb per 1k... doubt that is going to really happen. There are those that do this regularly, but they are more than dialed into their respective systems/styles, w genetics & some skilz to boot. Don't take this the wrong way... I'm not in that category of grower either...

    White/Light Colored Calyx?

Likely just aging, esp if they are the ones at the main stalk... old. When I've gotten the gm, it's been inside, not on anything exposed to direct air... Some plants have really hairy pistils that w you look at real close, are like clear tubes that bunch together. Almost looks like the...

S.o.s help help calling all farmers

I'd be curious to know how you run/manage the rez & run-offs...? Gut feeling is that something may be on the horizon if the plants are starting to show like that w newer growth. If adding 7ml/gal of CM+... I'm thinking you are throwing your soil/medium chemistry off... like excessive CA...
