Skully's Crash Course Compost Tea Guide - Tips, Tricks And Chicks With Dicks.

I need a cup! Tim's site is a great resource of knowledge and I highly recommend any new brewers to read through all of the information on there. -- Sounds like you're brewing to win perception. Those little custom red-frog "air stones" are pretty cool looking. I used the same perforated...

When I say "gentle", it is in the terms of using impeller pumps. I excluded any "Advanced" brewing methods/tools so newer brewers could start from the beginning before jumping into other options. Walk before you crawl if you will. The Vortex's you speak of run off of an air pump(s)/pressure...

Skully's Crash Course Compost Tea Guide - Tips, Tricks And Chicks With Dicks.

-- I own a Bubble Snake, as far as dissolved oxygen levels go its only useful for its little key-chain bag hanger, if even. It's great to use in tandem with multiple air-stones as the bubble snake throws bigger bubbles which break the surface tension as well as helping mix things up. I would...

I would say no. The aeroponic cloner will not be able to move the volume of water needed to sustain proper dissolved oxygen levels in the AACT. (Think of how tiny those little sprayer heads are. Yea, the heads are oxygenating a little bit, but think of the rest of the 4.98(or whatever) Gallons...

haha completely agree. GO's Alaskan Forest Humus works (although I don't like supporting the company). I make sure to have a couple different types of compost in my teas to diversify the microbial population. Your cold compost + alaskan forest humus + ewc would be a nice mix. I use primarily...

How Many Times Can You Top A Plant?

I'm a fan of more tops and a little longer veg time. Honestly, why put the time into the plant if you're not going to pull out the full potential. All topping/training should be done entirely based on how your strain grows/responds to topping/training. Some strains will top themselves and need...

The rock phosphate/rock dust is used to provide surface area for fungal hyphae to attach and grow. The kelp is used as a fungal microbial food stock as well as for its large list of trace element, growth hormones and other beneficial properties. Use kelp sparingly as too much kelp can delay the...

Can you explain what you mean by a lid and burper? Do you mean a lid on the five gallon with an air vent of some sorts? The beauty of gardening is coming up with your own ideas and ways of doing things, experimenting and growing. There are only guidelines set in place to help keep you from...

Skully's Crash Course Compost Tea Guide - Tips, Tricks And Chicks With Dicks.

I would not recommend feeding additional food stock to your teas in an attempt to increase shelf life. It's not the food the microbes need as much as it is the oxygen. Adding additional food will only insure quicker anaerobic development. At some point you will not be able to supply enough...

I personally have no experience with earth juice, but after a quick google, it looks like its comprised of a multitude of amendments, including bat guano. I would also recommend keeping that out of your personal living area.

EcoPlus 728457 5 to 80W Single Outlet Commercial Air Pump, 1300 GPH - Look this one up on Amazon. You could get away with going a size lower, although If I can teach you anything, go with bigger. You'll always end up needing it for something else as time goes by. Look for "Bubble Bubba" air...

Skully's Crash Course Compost Tea Guide - Tips, Tricks And Chicks With Dicks.

I would Not Recommend brewing AACT's near your bed, no. #1. It's gonna end up frothing and the bubbles will pop and splash little micro-particles all over the room. #2. Regardless of how much air you put through the tea, it DOES NOT guarantee your safety from harmful pathogens and biology. If...

Absolutely. Aquarium pumps WILL NOT brew QUALITY compost teas. Trust me, when I was first learning about tea's I made my own unit with about 8 aquarium pumps. It brewed teas, but nothing as micro-biologically alive as teas brewed with a serious pump and good air-stones.
