Ballin' On a Budget- THE RECIPE

Just for clarity, they're using fulvic as a foliar on it's own without any other additives?

Ballin' On a Budget- THE RECIPE

I'm curious how this works, not that i'd ever want to foliar feed. hahaha As a foliar, wouldn't you need to use something else in conjunction with fulvic (IPM, nutrients, etc)? I think i read it can help with heat stress as a foliar but i might be remembering wrong.

Ballin' On a Budget- THE RECIPE

Not sure my lazy ass would want to foliar feed anything. haha. Are you foliar feeding fulvic with something else in the mix? I'm not sure it'd make much sense to foliar feed fulvic on it's own. I could be talking out of my ass but i thought the benefit of adding fulvic (foliar or root) would be...

Ballin' On a Budget- THE RECIPE

PowerSi is too rich ($$$) for my blood and AgSil 16H just fucks with my pH too much. I might experiment some more with silica at some point but I've got my pH nice and stable with my current custom blend.

Ballin' On a Budget- THE RECIPE

Here's a quick summary of this thread. Jack's 5-12-26 / CalNit / Epsom salt run at 3g/2g/1g per gallon will grow weed pretty damn good on it's own The 321 measurement is 80% strength of Jack's recommended feed schedule of 3.78g/2.52g/1.2g per gallon Is Jack's on it's own perfect? No but it's...

Slow growth since switching to LED

A PAR meter measures PPFD (µmol/㎡s). As mentioned, a quantum meter would do the trick.

Slow growth since switching to LED

A decent PAR meter in invaluable to an LED grower. Highly recommended. There's no way you can accurately judge LED intensity by eyeballing it, especially when playing around with the dimmer.

    HGV Nutrients plus additional ingredients?

Use 5 gallon buckets with gamma seals.

    HGV Nutrients plus additional ingredients?

I'd stick to the usual additives and keep things simple. Fulvic, kelp and silca are popular. Try a run without any additives to get a baseline grow. Then start adding things to your mix one at a time and see what works/doesn't work for you.

    jguit's thread of absolute nonsense

Figured i'd just make a catch all thread of all of my nonsense, experiments, failures and successes. The GG4 harvest (my last thread) turned out great. I followed @Aqua Man's coco thread with a few tweaks and things went without a hitch. This round, I'm flowering C99 clones started from seeds...

Help Identify deficiency in Runtz photo

Jack's and ProMix HP work extremely well together. I've used Jack's with RO successfully for the past few years and never had to supplement additional calcium or magnesium. YMMV but if your environment is correct, there's no reason why it shouldn't work. I personally wouldn't run Jack's with...

Help Identify deficiency in Runtz photo

What EC are you running Jack's? I'm assuming you're following their feed chart and adding a gram or so of epsom along with their 5-12-26 and calnit? What grow medium? What are your day/night temps? You said 72-78F, is that 72 night / 78F day? What lights are you running? and how often are you...

Coco vs Soil medium? First Timer

Coco is great if you treat it like hydro and have the ability to automate your feedings (reservoir, pump, etc..). The downside of coco as a hydroponic medium IMHO is it's CEC but you can work around that fairly easily. The pluses are, coco is a very forgiving medium and growth rates are...

Doing everything right but my weed still doesnt taste as good as i want. Please help lol

I'd get a second opinion on smell. I find from sticking my beak in my bags/jars and being in the grow room all the time, I can be a bit desensitized to the smell. Whenever i open up a bag, people can smell it across the room where it's not as obvious to me. Same thing if i have it in my car, the...

Do these plants look ok? | First grow noob

There's a million ways to skin a cat but i typically cut all the under foliage a day or two before flipping to flower and then I'll selectively defoliate sometime around day 17 - 21 of flower. Last run i tried something new and defoliated a little bit every other day during the entire first 3...

    New user help with ppms

@phxazcraig, to make it less confusing you should express EC in millisiemens instead of micro. It's easy to confuse microsiemens for ppm and most people talk in 'milli' when dealing with EC. It's easy to confuse 320 µS with 320 ppm. 0.3 EC, not so confusing.. haha
