£4m drugs find in office complex
Cannabis with a street value of about £4m has been found growing in offices at a business centre near Scunthorpe.
Police raided the building on the Bellwin House Business Park at Flixborough after a tip-off and found more than 4,000 plants being grown.
A major drugs operation seems to have been operating at night in two office suites next to legitimate businesses working during the day, police said.
Two men charged in connection with the find have been remanded in custody.
The two men, Quang Van Tran, 36, and Anh Duc Ngugen, 45, neither of whom have a fixed address, appeared at North Lincolnshire Magistrates' Court on Friday, charged with cannabis cultivation.
They both denied the allegation.
They will next appear at the Scunthorpe court on Thursday.
Meanwhile, police were still clearing the plants on Sunday after Wednesday's raid.
Such was the scale of the find that Health and Safety experts were called in to assess the possible danger to the public and advise police officers in the removal of the plants.
Ministry of Defence police with specialised equipment were also brought in to assist the disposal.
Humberside Police said it expected the site to be cleared on Sunday and there was thought to be no danger to the public.
Pc Lee Smith, who took part in the operation, said: "We have found a rather large cannabis factory in full operation.
"There are about 4,000-plus plants - we're still counting I'm afraid so we're not quite sure.

"This is an unusual find in that it was a first-floor office complex which was occupied and being used by members of the public and staff at the business centre.
"They have installed their own roller shutter doors to secure the entry and installed a very complex ventilation system to try and hide the smell of the growing of the plants.
