FYI bathroom fan isnโ€™t designed to run 24/7 and according to the fire department here is the cause of many house fires. Grow safe. Maybe stick something up there creatively in place of it?
Yeah I'm only going to run it when CO2 levels get above 1200 ppm for now.

Working on things to change my values.

Theoretically, running your plant lights at night -- your night -- might help. Cannabis both transpires and respires. It only transpires when there's light, but it respires constantly. (The rate of transpiration is much greater than the rate of respiration.) When it transpires, it uses carbon dioxide and produces oxygen. When it respires, it uses oxygen and produces carbon dioxide. So, if you run the lights while you sleep in the room, you'll have more oxygen available to you from the plant's transpiration, and the plant will have the carbon dioxide you produce when you respire.

This might help, but I can't say if it will help enough. We run a CO2 monitor in our grow room, so we've been able to monitor the CO2 level, and it does fluctuate.

That's an interesting thought.

But eventually the plants will be sealed up in their own environment however there will be some of that air getting out from the plastic at the bottom for air exchange, I'm going to have a lot more plants in the house in different areas eventually so will figure out something good. โ˜ฎ๏ธ

I haven't decided yet if I'm going to run my lights 18/6 or 16/8, I have to consider power cost. ๐ŸŒฑ

I am thinking something like this which would go in place to the vent and installing a ac affinity or similar fan up there. You will have to get creative especially since you are renting. You will have to make a bracket and hang it up there.

I can't do that, can't do anything to the structure of the window.

I couldn't hang that on the zip wall plastic either.

I already have enough vent from the cords coming out at the bottom zippers and the sides and the bottom where it's secured by Velcro, but there's no tape there so it's venting out there.

I do have a fresh air vent coming in now where I placed my fan and this was the Xfinity cable box but they removed it and it was a hole directly outside.

So I put mesh cloth on it and it's actually helping!

Bringing in fresh cold air.

My current ppm is 980.

Anything under 1000 were doing good now

I am saying putting it to the bathroom vent with something like that where you can remove it like it was never there. You build the frame and mounting points and it comes in and out with a few screws and a plug.

Interesting, so I wouldn't need to run my bathroom vent fan then?

That seems like a lot.

I don't know how to get something like that mounted in here, the weight etc.

It's also my automatic light for the the shower but I don't use the light that much. All controlled by one circuit.

The middle switch operates the fan and the right operates the light with sensor.

Well it looks like I will definitely need another humidifier and so I went ahead and ordered one. ๐Ÿ˜‡โ˜ฎ๏ธ

This humidifier that I had from CVS was actually free because of my insurance so there's that!

I will just use it elsewhere in the home or possibly sell it.โ˜ฎ๏ธ

So the good news is I was able to get a good deal on an open box item for a 3.5 l humidifier with an on/off switch and a controller knob! ๐Ÿ•‰๏ธ

I know for sure this one will stay on as long as the switch is on so that will work well with the controler.

DAY 5 ๐ŸŒฑ

Picked up an AirKnight Co2 Monitor for $10! ๐Ÿ’š

In Oakland from a Facebook seller.

It's REALLY nice, big, colorful and also has Tempature and Humidity Readings! โญโญ

Very accurate readings so far, plugs into power or uses built-in battery.

Also it's 420 Somewhere ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œโ˜ฎ๏ธ
I thought your co2 should be around 1,200 ppm

400 is our natural ppm

โ€œMost gardeners have found that when you are producing high-quality light in your garden, a CO2 level of 1,200 to 2,000 ppm will increase yieldโ€

Iโ€™m confused your getting co2 readings outside your grow room that at one point was up to 1,700

To run co2 efficiently your room needs to be sealed

I wouldnโ€™t recommend breathing in high co2 levels

Maybe I need to be more stoned to understand what your doing ๐Ÿคฃ & itโ€™s all under control ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™‚

Outside air is 400 usually yes, clean air CO2 levels.

Indoor air can vary, but the average is about 800 ppm in a well ventilated home with people inside producing CO2.

I've had readings as low as 600 with the door open.

Right now I'm at 1200 ppm.

But that's for me, not my plants.

I definitely want ppm about 1200-1500 in there, within the window.

Humans can still do okay at 1500 parts per million but ideally it should be between the 400 and 1,000 PPM CO2 levels for good health.

But 2,000 and above is serious health problems eventually.

Yeah I'm just comparing what's inside my actual apartment versus the small grow window I have.

I need to decrease CO2 levels for my own personal self, increase them for the plants. โ˜ฎ๏ธ

Day 8 Kinda Tired today but I did make my Own CO2 Yeast/Sugar Release System using plastic bottles, clear tubing, a drill and tape.

Has one tube just at the top of the orange juice bottle (1.5 Liter) which will go into the smaller 500 mL Bottle of water to act as a bubbler/slow release and prevents bacterial buildup.

The yeast and sugar will be at the bottom of the orange juice bottle fermenting, making CO2 over time.

Should be perfect for my small ๐ŸชŸ

I also adjusted the humidity sensor to a better place for the inkbird controller.
Day 9! I finished!

Well *ALMOST* ๐Ÿ˜‡ I have to swap out the humidifier for another since it's a touch sensor it doesn't automatically turn back on with the inkbird controller, but I thought I'd share this lovely video with you anyways!๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œโ˜ฎ๏ธ๐Ÿ•‰๏ธ

I decided to go with Dr. Earth
Flower ๐ŸŒน Girl Bud and Bloom Booster for my flowering stage.

I was leaning between Gaia Green and Dr. Earth.

But it came down to the fact that Dr. Earth doesn't use blood meal AND has beneficial microbes for the flowering stage in the product.

Picked it up with a gift card from Amazon for $14.25+ tax. ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿฉบ๐ŸŒŽ

I already have Dr. Earth. 1-1-1 Liquid Gold Pump and Grow ๐Ÿชด which is really
REALLY GOOD STUFF for starting out baby seedlings, especially the 1st 2 weeks.

I'll be switching to my Sure Start 4-6-2 on the 3rd week at 1/4 strength with the 1-1-1 and then gradually a full serving during veg, until early bloom/late veg when I will switch to Dr. Earth Flower Girl.

We'll see how it goes.

I'm always open to trying new things in the future.

But I think this is a good choice.

I saw Dr Earth yesterday in the store when I was grocery shopping just happened to pass by and I said to myself yeah that's a good sign. โ˜ฎ๏ธ๐Ÿ•‰๏ธ๐ŸŒฑ
