Hmm well I still will use my yeast and sugar setup anyways.

If I can keep the levels above 1,000 inside the tent/window that's still helpful a little I guess.

Day 10

Did some soil testing.

Ph of my tap water without filtration here in San Francisco is about 8.28

TDS is about 107.

But I'll be using a water purifier to get out chlorine and other pollution and solids.

Not RO water, but certainly BETTER.

It gets my TDS down to about 40.

I'll be using White Vinegar to pH my water down to 6.3

When combining the tap water with my soil it was about 7.5

However my soil by itself is between 6.5 to 6.8 based on the RapiTest and the 4 in 1 meter metal rod test.

As far as nutrients go.

Hardly any nitrogen whatsoever
A little Potassium
Couldn't do a phosphorus test because I lost the blue pills for that but it usually runs about the same level at potassium when testing.

My soil smells fresh and sweet so that's good.

The meter rods says there's a little fertility in there. (The photo is showing the pH test though)

Enough for the microbes at LEAST.

Good soil for seedlings/germination though it seems, NO risk of BURN or over fertilizing.

Next step is to prepare my pots and pot lining material. A few other misc things.

Yeah, no room for a tent really, I had to make space for my recording studio within my 180 square foot apartment, which I'm still working on, which is actually a garden shed, a room within a room, that's a big project still.

Plus I love the fact that I had a TALL window to work with.

It only seems like it's a lot on that particular video.

The dehumidifier gets rid of it right away.

I have my differential set at 2% for both humidity and dehumidifier.

It keeps both units off longer.

The condensation is MUCH better than previously,I didn't even have a dehumidifier then.

That's why I covered up the window with aluminum autoshades to have a drier area for the plants to grow into.

My last grow got bud rot because of the window.

I may need to adjust the humidity controller, not sure yet, maybe it's pumping out too fast but I have the heater at 750 watts instead of 500 so it will heat up quicker and stay hotter longer. It has a 2° differential too.

Less wear and tear on devices and less time on = less cost.

I'll DEFINITELY KEEP AN on it

I’m guilty of the dumb sugar and yeast thing as well. No difference whatsoever. Also watched multiple YouTube videos of them testing the co2 in tents with them and it proves pointless.

It's not dumb! It's just misplaced enthusiasm. In theory is a solid idea. In practice not so much.

We were just joking about brewing beer in the tent for CO2 so at least you get something out of it!

Just a crack in the window to let in fresh air, also the bottom of the zip wall where the cords are and the Velcro strips have air flow into my room.
