3 CANNABIS PLANTS 🌳🌳 🌳
(Critical Purple Autoflowers 💜)
I have just seen today it's an auto😕 ...

There is high chances she start to flower early, before she fully recovered and that you end with a very dwarf or bonsaï plant.

Seeing how you struggle on start up going with auto wasn't the best idea you've had, better to work with photoperiods they are not on a schedule for flowering and you have time for recovery if needed.

and really next time, make your life easier: pick a soil many people use for growing cannabis. A soil that you don't need to feed anything but water for 4 to 6 weeks with a vigorous and healthy growth, this is game changer.

not all soil are good for all plants some are more or less basic or acidic, some retain water and drain more or less, some are more or less enriched in nutrient with various npk ratio. You really need to ask what soil to pick depending what you have easily access. I m in the EU so i'm not familiar with all the brands you have in the US.

i have seen Down to earth and Dr earth have a few soils, one of them might be good for growing cannabis. Also in the US many people use Fox Farm Happy Frog and/or Ocean forest sometime with a little additionnal perlite.

I would suggest peat moss and perlite. I use pro mixx and miracle grow perlite. My plants grow way better in the peat moss.
isn't pro mix hp a soiless medium ? not sure sure if that gonna work well with organics nuts that need to be processed by soil bacteria for being available.

you'r using synthetic or mineral nuts that are readily available for the roots in their final form?

I'm not sure about that. I used to use soil. Plants always struggle threw seedling stage.
I used back to the roots organic soil mixed with perlite.

Now I use pro mixx plants grow better faster bigger. Healthy and green too. I'm just struggling to keep them green throughout flower. I think I need to work on my feeding.
Oh yeah pro mixx is cheap. 2 cu feet for 20

Soil Mix as per @SunshineSupergirl
Most of my soil is coconut coir and vermiculite, perlite, peat moss etc

Only a little bit of slow release worm castings and such, I added 1 bag of organic potting soil mix from miracle grow into my previous soil and added the other things like coffee and and tea and molasses etc.

The NPK ratio on the miracle grow is very low, that's why I tested my soil 1st.

I know I'm getting fairly accurate readings with my test kits.

- *Miracle-Gro Indoor Potting Mix*: This mix has an NPK ratio of 0.25-0.13-0.19, providing essential nutrients for indoor plants.

So it's the only thing that has any fertilizer in the soil mix I made.

So yeah my soil doesn't have much nutrients in it.

I didn't want to start with too much.

It was the miracle grow that had the worm castings and bird guano in it.

So not very much of each.

My soil is draining well, it's a healthy structure, it just needs nutrients. ☮️🌱

her soil is mostly miracle grow with low npk and very few thing she added in small quantities

also today google searchs gave this:

"Miracle Gro's extended-release fertilizers might not match up with the specific nutrients needed for cannabis. Cannabis plants need a different balance of nutrients as they grow, particularly less nitrogen during the flowering phase, which Miracle Gro does not account for."

Can I use Miracle-Gro potting soil for cannabis?

"Do not use “Miracle-Gro” soil or any soil that has “extended release” nutrients for growing cannabis. These types of soil will continue to release nitrogen to your plant roots for up to 6 months. This can cause deficiencies or burn your cannabis plants in the flowering/budding stage, reducing your overall yields."

but they say people usually manage having healthy plant in veg with it and that issues issues come later in flowering

so yeah actually main issue is most prolly overwatering ...

Actually it's only 1 bag of miracle grow, I bought it for the mixture of peat moss, bird Guano and worm castings and coconut Coir.

I was specifically trying to avoid using soil that had high npk ratio in it.

I mixed it with last year's soil that had vermiculite and perlite and peat moss, then bought 2 more quarts of coconut coir.

The soil smells sweet and fresh and it's holding moisture but still draining very well.

Don't want any excess nitrogen affecting the the plants when it's time to start flowering.

The organic miracle grow soil has a very low npk ratio.

I'm adding nutes now though.

Next week I'll move up to full strength.

Just added dry fertilizer and she's responding well.

My problem is I over watered my seedling 🌱.

She's STILL alive though, starting to look better.

Giving her 1/2 cup water tomorrow.
day 25 soil top layer was still looking overly moist to me on the photos you shared for watering again, yet you watered the next day with 1 cup of water.

really, let the top soil layer dry a little, and change to less dark color on the whole pot before watering again .....

on this photo you can see the soil hasn't the same color with all pots, some are darker than the others with top layer still more or less wet, and some others with the top soil layer lighter color with the top soil layer dry.

i usually wait a day or two after the top soil layer is dry for watering again.

Last water was Saturday, I will check my soil tomorrow, may not actually water again till Wednesday, depending on how dry.

what worry me is you shared a few photos just before you were watering again and i never seen your soil with that lighter color dry soil usually have.

as said when top soil layer start looking fully dry at this stage of growth with a plant that small, that don't pull much water from the soil with it's roots, you can still wait a day or two before watering again.
Most of the drying is due to evaporation at this stage not the plant pulling water from the soil, so when the soil been saturated, it's stay moist for a long time when a little deep and away from the young roots.

if your watering too often with a small plant even with small amount that could maintain the soil overly saturated.

(also with high rh soil may take longer to dryback what's your rh and temp like actually ?)

DAY 28 🌱💚

SUSIE IS SHOWING SIGNS OF GREEN 💚

Pictures taken right after I watered her 1/2 cup of distilled water at 6.2 pH

Very HAPPY that she's responding well to the changes.

Definitely looking like she needed nutrients and less water. ☮️🕉️🙏🏼🌱

Let's see how well she will recover 🙏🏼

Just changed my PPFD UMOLS to 350

🌱🙏🏼☮️

Hopefully now she can start to take in more light, 🕯️

Vegetative state is usually 400-600 PPFD, so we are gradually getting there.

@SunshineSupergirl - Good luck with Susie! When I see a whole plant with yellow leaves, I think there could be poor gas exchange for the roots, especially low oxygen. This usually happens when the soil is too wet. Pointing a fan at the soil or the pot (if it's a fabric pot) can help. Loosening the soil can help, too. I use a hand rake to loosen the surface of the soil. It also helps break up crusty soil that can happen when top dressing dry nutrients.

A hand rake:

My dear i just went through your journal from 2022 to present. Nothing has changed from what i've seen in your understanding of growing a healthy marijuana plant. 3 yrs and 38pages later here you are. I wonder anymore if you are at all serious or just need a audience which a few seem to be willing to offer advise which is the same from day one of your post.
