The CMH'S would probably do better with AC cooling in a sealed room.
I'll try starting mine at 630 than 860 than 1000.

So that would be 12 cmh bulbs @630 watt each up to 1000 watts each by week 4 of flower. 18 plants total.

one more thing I'd like to point out is that i did a couple test grows with a 630 cmh light.
and kinda had the same problem you did with the tops burning.

on the first test I veged under MH and flowered under cmh and the tops did burn a little in flowering.
next one I veged under cmh and flowered under cmh but didn't get the burnt tops like before even with the hood at same canopy hight/temps.

I believe plants better alcomate to the cmh when used throughout the whole veg/flower cycle. just somthing i observed.

I'd be interested to see your de hps log and compare it to the cmh. I've got a line on 12 nanolux de hps lights cheap

I'm having problems with the 1000w nanolux hps DE bulbs. they work for about 2-4 weeks than go out. I'm pretty sure they aren't compatible with my LF SW ballasts. bulb out put from ballast to bulb is 200v.
The nanolux HPS needs 400v.
LF SW ballast only put half that out.
got a whole box of 3200k 1000w cmh's in today.

literature says 200-260v 260hz is what the LFSW CMH ballast outputs, this lamp is designed to work with this ballast.

My Rev Micro DEVA is 100hz 400v output probably wouldnt work with these CMH lamps

I cannot find the voltage and hz output of the Sunplix ballasts...

what ballast do you have?

The lamps are only intended for use in the Nanolux low frequency CMH ballast. The use of ultra-high frequency DE ballasts should be avoided.
