Day 57 of 12/12

Water consumption is really slowing down. Still haven't seen any other signs of WPM but will keep looking. Patience is a virtue but that doesn't make it easier to control. Getting so close and yet the drying/curing process will take more time. One day I will get to taste of sweet sweet flavors of these ladies. You know, I can eat a peach for hours.

Thank you for the kind words brother! Garden of Green is the breeder I used but Reserva Privada/DNA is the one most people tend to talk about.

Day 58 of 12/12

Well, I again found a small trace of white powdery mildew last night so I have some decisions to make. I either can harvest now and ensure I get my harvest. I feel the buds are fairly close but I had intended to push them all the way to the end from the start.

The PM is not out of control yet, it has just barely taken hold so far. Three days ago would have been the first sign of it the entire grow and last night I found a little more confirming the issue. I can use a foliar spray and try to push a little further into harvest. I have been leaning towards H202 but I know there are some other methods such as milk. As far into flower as I am I don't want to use anything that will change the flavor. I also can choose to chop to avoid any further spread.

Now that the slight PM has been confirmed I am pretty sure I am going to do a bud wash.

Anyways, here what you fiends really want... some lesbian porn of the mature ladies rubbing against one another

Well... I think the ladies are gonna get chopped in the next few days (possibly tomorrow). Trichome development is good, maybe not quite as amber as I wanted but I'm just not gonna risk the WPM taking out the entire crop. Chop, dry, and into grove bags. Wash and repeat.

Hey bud, sorry about the WPM forcing your schedule, but damn what a beautiful bounty! 😍 I watched an interesting vid on harvest times and tested THC content a while back. In their tests the THC was at its peak on the earlier side of what most people seem to consider the harvest window. I know THC isn't everything, but it will be interesting to see what you think.

What kind of drying conditions are you trying? 60/60 has seemed to work out well enough for me. The grassy smell was gone on both of my dries by day 6 or 7 (of the dry, not the cure). I think I decided to harvest on day 9 or 10 of the dry with the first two plants. I'm currently on day 8 for the rest of the crew.

As for the Grove Bags, I think I got too many small bags and would like to get a few more quater-pounders. They're great though; I put a couple of hygrometers in the grove bags just to see how they hold and I don't think I've seen it budge from 60%.

Any idea what your next four plants will be?

Thanks brother! It's all good, I don't think it was far anyways. I imagine any day this work week would have been the day. I would say they are mostly cloudy with some amber.

You know what is funny about THC? When we first went legal I went crazy and I ordered some banger strains with high THC. Did my research more and more as I started my gardening journey and path towards cannabis connoisseurship and started changing my tune a bit. Granted, I will still enjoy my high THC picks but I'm so interested in exploring in so many different ways now that we are legal.

The WPM really never got a hold, four or five leaves total on one plant. I did a hydrogen peroxide bath which honestly a little nerve-wracking on my first crop ever. I spent six hours or so last night with the tent on and every fan I have moving air to make sure they didn't get put away soaked. The tent is currently at 68F and 60RH but I will bring it down to 60F soon. Just wanted the little higher temp to help get past that bath lol

Yeah, I ordered mainly half pounders with a few oz bags. They should be getting here shortly. Seems most everyone has good stuff to say about them and I am sure it beats the hell out of opening jars all the time.

The next run? We will see. The RDWC is about to get version 2.0 built. It most likely will be clones from this run just for a fast turn around time.

I just spotted that thread, hope you get some good info. And yeah, the primary reason I'm doing the organic soil grow is because the speed at which things can go wrong with everything else terrifies me. And here you are starting with a DIY hydro setup... the balls on this guy.

Btw, I noticed we're growing with the same light, ROI-E680. My buddy loaned me of of these Apogee meters so presumably I'm getting some pretty accurate measurements. If light really is the issue let me know if you want me to take a few readings at a specific distance from the R680. Might at least help you rule out an issue or two. Only caveat is that I'm using the Grower's Choice Master Controller for my light settings. Not sure if that makes a diff.

The Growers Choice ROI-E680 fixtures have a known widespread issue of the drivers failing and turning on bars when they're supposed to be off. The company is well aware but hasn't sent out any notifications or recalls. This happens even with their branded digital controller. They don't care if your crop is severely damaged due to light pollution caused by their faulty drivers. They just released an "upgraded" ROI-E680S with drivers that supposedly work correctly it looks like they have less diodes though, so you'll be pushing them much harder to reach 680w. Also, they won't upgrade your old ROI-E680 fixture until you have photo or video proof of it failing. So pretty much you have to wait and catch it in action when these fixtures decide to wreck your medicine. Keep in mind they can turn on at ANY time throughout their off period. Tell your friends and family. Quality medicine is what we all strive for and this public service announcement is to continue this goal. I have many of these fixtures and feel betrayed by the company.
