Hey folks! MrBing22, 1st time grower with a 3x3 tent in MD. I am attempting to grow in cloth pots with COM-Stonington soil at recommendation of local supply store. Just started germination of photo seeds on Halloween (lol). Planning to grow 2 plants to start and hopefully graduate to 3 or 4 after I work out the kinks. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

I think two plant will fill out the tent pretty good. Welcome to the farm. Keep us posted if your progress.

Hiiii, also a 3x3 grower (VA) good luck on your grow!!
Hey Newbie!! Are you growing from seeds? What type of soil are you using? I’m using Stonington-Coast of Maine. I have my seedlings under the dome (6 days) but am anxious to move to pots and get veg going!

I was thinking that also, but I started 6 seeds and don’t want to kill anyone 😂

Welcome MrBing22. I started with the same size tent and I think two is a great number. When you’re ready to use a SCROG net, you can fill that tent with two plants easily. It gets crowded quickly.

If you haven’t planted yet, I would advise to make sure there’s perlite in your soil mix. If not, I’d add some in for better drainage. Maybe start a grow journal here and people can help as you have questions.

Best of luck to you

Are you using a little seedling tray and dome or are you using solo cups or something else?
Depending on what size you're using, it could be beneficial to up the pot size before going right to your final pot size. Probably not at 6 days though, hate to say it though because your anxious lol

I personally don't like domes, I've seen more issue especially with new growers and watering habits that the domes made worse.

Week 2 update
I got 7 seeds to germinate (5 photos and 2 auto) moved starter cubes into solo cups with Stonington-Coast of Maine soil. Still have the girls under the dome and on 24hr light. How long should I wait before putting into 5g pots? Is it a time period or sign from plant?

Was also looking for recommendations on what to feed my girls that is simple (not too many parts) and works with Stonington COF? Thanks for helping this newbie out!

I transplant once the leaves hang over the edges of the solo cup and when I can see roots coming out of the holes in the bottom of the solo cups.

These two were my first couple of photoperiods grown in a 3x3 with two Sp1000 and side lighting. They were grown with COM Stonington blend and are close to chopping since thus was taken a few weeks ago. I use their soil and dry amendments and it has been 10x easier than messing with liquid nutes.

COM makes a great growing media and fertilizers that is not hot like FFOF was. I just followed their feed chart for 5 gallon pots. I use Myco, Recharge, Worm Castings, Kool Bloom and Molasses at various times as well. It just works.
