i am about to set up a 2'x4' flood tray. i will be using 3 gal air pots fill with Hydroton. this is my 1st time going full hydro and i was wondering how many times a day should i flood my clones? during the small veg stage and during flowering when they get their? i know their are allot of condition's but just a basic rule of thumb please?

ive been told to never flood at lights off is this true?

PH whats ideal for flood and drain with Hydroton? i was planing around 5.8-6.0

any advise would be great.

This is true if you have rh problems but I heard in mountains and desert where rh is low once at night would be ok.

Within 5.6-6.0 ph
A swing is good to recieve all nutes that absorbes at each end of the ph swings
I use ebb n grow witch is ebbn flow with no flood table

why dont u just fill that 2 x 4 tub with the hydroton and put ur plant in that and eliminate the smart pots?...and flood and drain the table full of hydroton, easier that way....thats what i would do if i had a 2x4tub and ur setup to flood and drain...
anyone else agree with me?

good either way IrishBoy...keep us posted bro

just fast forward thru the stuff u dont need 2 see...

thanks for the links. i use the pots because i get air purning, less money on hydroton, and i can move my plants around and adjust thongs easy, plus if their a sick plant i can pull easy without other plants roots tangled with it.
