Hi All,

I am brand new to THCFarmer and growing. The attached pics were taken this morning of my 2nd ever grow. Any feedback whether it be the appearance of the plants or any of the below information would be greatly appreciated. I haven't experimented with topping yet as I wanted to ensure I had the basics down first. My next grow I will be experimenting with topping.

Strain:
Blue Dream, Dream Diesel, Jet Fuel, Lemon Sour Diesel
Medium:
Coco Loco + Perlite
Container:
5 gallon fabric pots
Temp:
~80-82F during the day. ~ 74F at night
RH:
~50-55 in Flower. 60-65 in Veg
Light Schedule:
12/12 in flower. 16/8 in Veg

Grow Room:
3'X3'X6' AC Infinity Grow Tent
Ventilation:
4" extractor at the top + passive intake at the bottom
Lights:
AC Infinity
Full Spectrum LM301H LED Grow Light (X2)
Barrina T5 2ft 80W (X8)

Training:
LST only

Feeding:
All feeding's PH 5.5-7 depending on the nutrients I was targeting.
TPS Silcia
Bloom City Cal-Mag
Jacks Classic All-Purpose and Jacks Classic Blossom Booster

Very nice for a second grow! The buds look mighty fine the only problem is how tall they got and being that close to the light the terpenes on the top buds will get obliterated and some trichomes too. I like the supplementary light you have in the middle, I used to do that too before I swaped to SCROG hahaha unfortunately they got left behind by the plants but it still helps.
The plants look great and healthy, nice thick main stem too, if anything next time keep the light closer during grow so they dont stretch as much.

How long are you vegging your plants before you flip to 12/12? I’d recommend next grow to flip sooner and use that scrog to keep them shorter and away from the light. They look good otherwise

Happy New Year and thanks for joining the Farm! Your second ever grow looks good!

My feedback: Your plants look very stretched.

My advice: @RGWD0202 is absolutely on point. Make sure that the next run you flip your plants sooner to account for the “stretch” where your plants can double or triple in height. Watch your lighting as well. Sativas and sativa-dominant plants will grow taller and thinner than Indicas but if you notice your plants getting really tall really fast, you need to raise your lighting output.

One more important point too and then I’ll quit rockin’ the soapbox over here, did your plants have a CalMag deficiency? Skip the CalMag unless your plants truly need it. @Blastfact brought this up the other day and it’s important for new growers know. You’ll find if you check your labels that most nutrient lines have CalMag already in them.

Yeah I agree a bit stretchy & very close to the light try some lst next time.
Also see another problem with the 82f that’s a bit high try see if somehow you can get that down yeah I know not easy in a small tent
Still least there not foxtailing
All in all for your 2nd grow id say well done
We learn by experience
No one expects anyone to have there first few grows bang on

There’s no room to move the light up
This might sound counter productive however I might be tempted to dim it more as you don’t want to destroy the turps with heat/light

you want to have your t5 lighting the top of the tent and branches with buds, not the bottom stem and few leaves ... bud growth will benefit from that amount of supplemental light on the side, while having them at the bottom lighting mostly the stem and very few leaves bottom of canopy bring nothing at all ...

I bet he knows but its good you tell him just in case. The plants just got too tall. I had flexible LED bars so I just pointed them towards the plants but he ran out of wood to put them higher.
