2x4x5 tent lighting 300 vs 600

This will be my first indoor grow. I am looking at a 2x4x5 foot tent. I think i am getting a hgl 300w light but was wondering if i shoukd get the 600res instead. I would like to run co2 on future grows and want to make sure i have enough light to maximize that. Is this going to be over kill for this tent. Any help would be great

Looking to put 4 plants in the tent. More interested in quality over quantity but want to maximize the space.

i got a 2x4x6 tent so if u want 4 plants you might want to go 4x4

Depends on plant size. You can grow one big one or several smaller ones. Imo smaller plants are easier to manage and you can have a little more variety going this route. In a 2x4 space the 320w HLG fixture will be just fine. If you get a larger light you’ll probably have to turn it down some to keep from burning your plants.

I have the same Mars Hydro tent and I'm using two TS1000 lights so I would say that the TSL2000 is plenty, but if you can afford the 600w then why not, that way it's only a bigger tent you need in the future if you decide to go bigger.

i want to go bigger myself to a 4x4

I decided to go with the 600, figure i can use the dimmer pretty low and work my way up. Also decided on a 2x4x80 for more height. I will start a full thread when i am all set up. Benn growing outdoor for 20 years but this will be my first indoor grow

6.5ft ceiling??

In a 2x4x6.5 tent that’s a big light.

That would flower a 4x4x8ft. But nice to have

7 foot ceiling, going to start with it dimmed way down and increase as it tolerates. I am going to start a new thread when its all set up. Its my first indoor grow so pretty excited
