this grow 1,2,3 were all sad. the reason the o g came out better is because i saw what i did with the other 3 that were a week older. 1,2,3 were all to some degree, stunted. #3 i spent little time taking pictures of due to it's poor developement. #1 i had recently seen some nice changes on so i started to take more pics of it but given how far into the flowering it is i doubt it'll produce much more. the #2 was definitely foxtailing which from what i've seen can be a particular strain trait but the parents didn't appear to show this behavior. i'm attributing it to the plant being stunted. the final decision was when after examining the close up detail pics it appeared that there were many trichomes yellowing. the pistils were predominantly red as well.Wow that oregon grape cola looks fantastic! Fully developed, looks like its tight aswell and shiny!
About the n2 it looks good too but its not fully mature, something happened to her? Too many white pistils and I dont see any orange pistil curled into the bud, buds also look like they could have been fattening longer and taking a better more rounded shape.
looking at the trichomes i was reminded of a plant i grew that had the most amazing high. this was when my days consisted of starting every day with several joints and then proceeding to smoke all day so i was very aclimated to the buzz. this particular pland produced buds that produced a hig that kicked hard initially and then 10 or 15 minutes later would kick again. i used to tell people to take a small hit or two and put it out. wait 1 minutes until they smoked any more so the creep would be able to show.
the trichomes were delayed from what i could see on #2. it had some but not shitloads of trichomes and in the last week it started piling on trichomes. it appears that the older trichomes were yellowing, many others appeared to be cloudy but a shitload of them seem to be clear.
i'm thinking that this might provide a similar affect. the yellowed trichomes would provide a couchlock to some degree initially and there would be a creeper effect as well. this would be suggested by the last grow which had to be harvested early, something which wasn't an issue this time.
the last plants weren't fully matured and so the trichomes would have been younger. that smoke had almost no initial buzz but 15 minutes to a half hour later it would have creeped sufficiently.
it does appear that the trichomes mature and change at a rate that may be dictated by the trichome traits as opposed to how far the plant flowering process has progressed. the older ones change faster than the newer ones.
i may be completely out to lunch but i'm intrigued by this idea.
