3000k Or 4000k Led For Full Cycle

Hey guys I'm getting things set up for my first grow. I've been doing alot of looking at quantum board lighting and like it. Problem I'm having is I dont know whether to go 3000k or 4000k. I want to use the same light from early veg. threw flower. What have your experiences been?

I’m no pro but if you are saying you have to pick one to run veg and flower I would go 4000k.

3500k is a really popular color temp for indoor horticulture. I think 4000k would work just fine. I use 6500k floros for vegging and have in the past used hybrid conversion bulbs that were in the 4500-5000k range with great results. That was before LED bulbs were a thing tho.

Ideally I would like to go with 3500 but I'm not seeing a whole lot of quantum board options at that number seems like alot of 3000,4000,5000 and 2700. Thanks for your input.

I'm running 2k7 + 3k5 seed to harvest. Works just fine. Explosive growth and chunky buds. CCT meets at about 2950K according to my camera

That's 250W of light on a sqare meter. 50W 2k7 and 200W 3k5.

So do you think the 2 different lights work better as you have them or if I were to just get a 3k? Your light looks like a diy what do you all have on there?

I just picked stuff that suited my budget about 3 years ago. I got 4 Cree CXB3070 running at about 62W each on a 120W LP64 CPU sink and 2 even at that time obnoxious BXRA25 from Bridgelux running at 25W ea on an Alpine GT 2.0 heatsink all running on LPC Meanwell drivers and an extra 9-13.5V power supply for fans. Nowadays this would be considered old tech but it's doing it's job just fine until I update it with a "board".

I use 4000k qb board for veg and 3000k qb boards for flower. Dont really think you could go wrong with either. Too bad they dont offer 3500k.

90 % of my veg is a mix of 2700,3000,and 4000k qb.with a few 3000k and 3500k cobs in there as well.
