All it takes is one stinking banana and you'll have pollen. PH could cause that too. Nice plants though!
Thanks mate. Well I hope there's not. I've checked and all the reddening pistils are fading all the way to the bottom, I believe with pollination just the tips redden. Just have to see

So... Pollinated or not?? I think no. So day 29 from flower, and was super happy until someone suggested my flowers may be pollinated 😭 It's a fair comment and forced me to have a good close look at my plants (not that much happens to them I don't notice, I've got hands on them every day 😂). I definitely noticed the darker pistils and queried it on here but it sort of slipped through the cracks hehe.

It's definitely concentrated to sites closer to the lights - lights were up very high and pushing high nutrients through stretch, both of which have been backed off as we move out of that. To be honest most of what I see in life and in the photos just looks like pistils going a nice honest orange, but the ones closer to the lights look a little brown, really do think that's light stress. I've read that by 2-3 days should be able to see fattening bracts - the reddening started about 5 days ago and nothing in these photos indicates that to my eye.

Did a nice big leaf thin tonight, feel like the canopy is starting to come together and there are some lovely big sticks coated in buds. I love the ones I had to bend down all the sites along the side are already becoming little tops. I was able to have a pretty good look and couldn't see any pollen sacs or bananas but i don't have a well trained eye.

Would love my farm homies to cast an eye over and give your thoughts. If one has gone Herm then so be it. Maybe I pushed them too hard or genetics are no good. But I'm staying confident hehe.

Girl at top right still needs significant grooming, but the other three have good structure and nice open leaves now. Getting harder to work on them, the back right especially is packing on resin, even the fan leaves are sugary.

Humidity has spiked to 70 today even with lights on, going to have to bite the bullet and get a dehumidifier pretty sharpish...

Thanks man, yeah I'll admit I set up the tent badly in the room so I can't get in one side 😂😭 So I do end up having to reach across the tops to prune and stuff and definitely rub against stuff sometimes. I am dead keen to get some quality nugs for me and my homies, but I really wanna bring it home for the farm now haha. Have had so much help, wanna be able to post some fat colas on here soon

Day 31 of 12/12, flushed tonight with pH water. Have been giving them 2.3 EC and runoff got up to 3.2 last night. Amazingly none of the plants are showing major nute burn if any. I thought I was pushing them pretty hard but they seem to love it. Getting hard to work then now even the fan leaves are frosting. Reckon the leaves on these would get me higher than anything I can get round here but I'm not smoking a leaf.

Ended up putting through 40 litres, by the end runoff was at 1.6. Good sign that it came down so quickly tells me things probably aren't locked up in there. Been pretty blessed so far, got two more weeks of hard nutes before we pull it back a little and move towards flush. These are listed as 7-9 weeks flower, four weeks from now is basically 8 weeks which is possible. We'll see, if they are wanting to go longer I'll let them. I can't imagine what they'll look like after 5 more weeks of frost... 😋

So day 32 😂 I know I'm posting a lot but nice to have a record of my first grow, and appreciate the support from the fam. Nice to be able to share it with someone coz I sure as hell can't tell anyone around here 🤫

Starting to stink up a little in there. The most amazing thing is when I prune them a week ago the smell on my hand was all pineapple and lime and pine needles. Now there is this massive bubblegum aroma coming off them. I just can't wait to have them in jars and ready to smoke, I won't be comfortable until I have them that far. But this will be easily the best weed I've ever smoked if I pull it off.

Thought I'd do a more detailed record of each plant as we are four and a bit weeks now into 12/12. First is the runt. Been a weirdo from birth, went into flower a week behind even the next girl that was planted a week after her. Really blossoming though, looking better than ever after a difficult childhood. She will allow me to stagger my harvest a little as she takes a week or two extra. Still feel like she is gonna produce small but produce awesome. Just got a hunch.

Baby Girl, planted a week late to replace a dud. Always gone pretty well but had a week less than the others in veg so quite thin through its structure. Produces these little star leaves on long petioles, needs a lot of thinning but starting to produce fire.

Big girl next up. Name doesn't make sense now the next one is as big but this was the pacesetter through every stage of growth. Doesn't have the next one's pure photogenic qualities, but for sheer vigor she's unreal. Hard to get her all in the picture, bit of the runt girl in there, but those long bent sticks are all of a metre long 😋

Last but definitely not least. The show pony. Decided early on I was gonna do a few runs before I worried about taking clones and making a mother but damn I wish I'd cloned this 😭 Just a trichome machine, can't wait to see how she progresses.

And a few of the under canopy. Last two are Big Girl and Show Pony. Still look at those trunks and nodes and can't believe they started out as a little green stem. They grow up so quickly. 😭

Day 35, 5 weeks of 12/12. Man if these guys still have another five weeks they're gonna be crazy. Can see what people mean about things slowing down a bit at this point. The slow girl in front is still stretching, she's at least a week and a half behind. But she's starting to stack beautifully. Sticking with my feeling she gonna make fire. The good news if she does is I took five clones from her, stuck them in straight tap water 10 days ago. All have roots and are thriving. Gonna put them in Coco once roots are established, start them vegging in the spring sun. Once I've harvested slow girl, if she's any good these girls will be 7-8 weeks into veg and can probably go straight into flower in the tent. We'll see...

Definitely stacking, and frosting up. I notice the top buds are bigger and bottom are frostier. Can't see any light damage up top - I'm assuming that the bulk/resin nutrients I started adding a week ago will be absorbed from the bottom up? Happy to be corrected. Even then it's not like the top sites are struggling. Can't even brush my hand past a plant without my whole hand feeling like it's covered in crazy glue.

Will get a loupe when I get paid next week, and start posting trich photos. Five weeks in, a couple weeks before that will matter much. About 15% oranging of pistils across the bigger three. 😋 Time to bring it home...

Oh also my GD Mars Hydro lights are now both not starting correctly on one quantum board each. Chinese shit. I can flick them off and on and eventually they work but seems like a driver issue not getting enough current to start up. Anyway I'm sick of dealing with it. So get this - researching new lights and found this:

Factory is twenty minutes from my house ☺️ Let me know what you think, the quality looks amazing and if it performs as they say that's phenomenal efficiency. Plus backed by great warranty from someone down the street instead of across the ocean. If it stacks up I'll buy this asap and seek a refund from Mars. Based on reviews I don't like my chances. I'll be visiting the factory tomorrow and will post a full thread about my findings. That price is about 950 USD so even with postage they may be an incredible option for North American crew. Watch this space.

Went in today a couple minutes before lights on and took some video in natural (ish) light. iPhone light anyway. Nice to see them in their natural colour without the LEDs on them 😋

Thats an awesome grow you got there brother really nice canopy 😍 wish I grew my green crack as good as yours! I read Youre getting pineapple lime with some bubblegum smells, you get any mango smells? One pheno was smelling like fruits and I had two other ones that smelled more like mango then my last one smelled like rubber/diesel sort of, didn’t know what seed bank to go to see so I got mine off of crop kings. I’ll be here watching Till the end!

Thanks bro! Yep these are crop Kings ☺️ Very similar experience, 4 quite distinct phenos. Definitely some mango on the one that has bubblegum. The other big girl is much more diesel and earth, the smallest girl a bit more like the first one more fruity, and the bottom left girl which took two extra weeks to flower and is still stretching but looks to have the best node structure, most perfect pistils and most elegant, balanced fragrance out of all of them. I'm hoping that delayed flowering was due to the over watering I did on her early on which just delayed her, because I've got five clones of her that I took just before flowering commenced. Just dropped them into little jars with tap water and all have inch long tap roots 2 weeks later. So will likely veg those outside until the tent is free and throw them straight into flower. Let the pipeline commence...

Ahoy hoy fam. Day 40 of 12/12. Did a nice leaf thin, not a huge percentage of canopy but enough to create a nice air channel through middle of plants. RH doesn't really get above 50% with the exhaust on as long as I keep the central column clear.

That's the girl that was stunted. Now the tallest plant in there, still stretching a little bit. Still have about six inches left to raise light, this girl sitting about 12" from light at top. Said I had a hunch about her being slow but producing fire - let's just look at these nodes she's attached this week. Starting to get pretty happy that I've got five rooted clones of her.
