4 arrested 1400 plants siezed

In western Iowa, town called Red Oak. Think they were using hog confinement building. Cops said they had about 10k in equipment, and plants worth 1.5m. Hope this wasn't anyone here. Grow on Fred

who were the plants worth 1.5m too?, round here whenever the cops bust someone, they always grossly exagerate the values of the crop, I think they base the value on the crop being sold in $5 bags to teenagers. there was a grow busted here a couple of years ago, the electric company reported a massive increase in usage, like 20 times what they had been using so it was obvious they were up to something, and given the area it could not have been aluminium smelting, in the paper it quoted some crazy value, but the local cops like that it makes them feel like popeye doyle, instead of a small town leo.

Even with estimates on the low side, if you figure it at 1.5oz/plant. And You've got 1400 plants at roughly $5K/pound. Comes to like $10.5mil, not 1.5. so yeah, they are low when they are usually high. Although we should take into account that the reporter might have been a little high as well! LOL.
