I'm not sure if many of you here follow Sustainable AG practices and advancements, but this is a good article that explains what we can be doing to keep the soil healthy. I'm a fan of this stuff, so hopefully there is someone else to bounce info and ideas off of. It's good to know, because this can be translated to Cannabis too.

Interesting

I read an article about tests in soil for agriculture here in Spain, the results were shocking.
Hardly any life in the soil, very low amounts of worms and beneficial bacterias.

I know people here like to plough through the land with tractors and spray loads of pesticide.
Roundup from Monsanto is all over the place, i have seen so many empty bottles just thrown on a toxic pile.

And then we get many pests, palmtrees eaten from the inside by some bugs, virus in the olive trees, pine trees full of caterpillars etc.

But anyway, happy new year !

Damaging insects and disease will always find a way to adapt and overcome, but we sure as heck aren't helping by weakening the plants and poisoning the soil. Healthy plants are plants less susceptible to theses pressures.
