70% humidity in the jars when curing, how long do I need to burp for?

I put them in bags to cure since I don't have jars atm and left them overnight to which the humidity in the bags reached 70% I burped it for an hour down to 62% and then closed them till the next day. The humidity went back up to 70% but now it's taking much longer to go back down to 62%. Did I do something wrong? I heard if it reached 70% I should just open the lids for 2-4 hours. any help is appreciated

Sounds like you need to remove and dry some more.

how did you dry it? if it is reading 70% in a paper bag it is pretty wet. how humid is it where the bag is kept?

right now opened its 63%, I left most of it to dry on the rack for another couple of hours just in case. I notice some of the buds I forgot to put in the smell a lot better since they got to dry out better. how dry should the nugs be before I close the bag?
