A couple first timer questions - 4plant state law lookin for options

Goal: To grow roughly 1 pound of hydr0 per month or 2lb per yield.

Right now I live in a 1br apartment in northern Kentucky. I'm looking into a 4x4x7 complete growroom with a 600watt hps / carbon filter / etc. from hydrowholesale.com.

Is this tent/light combo capable of producing a 2lb yield?

If not what am I looking at minimum to produce about 1 lb per month?

It is a felony in KY to have more than 4plants growing, so I would like to try and not go over 4plants if at all possible. I will do more than 4 plants if it is absolutely necessary. I have read a single plant produces 3-5oz but I have also seen some monster plants. What I would really like to do is grow 4 monstrosity plants and get the absolute largest yield possible while staying within the legal safe zone.

I would really appreciate the advice of anyone with experience. I know no one in real life that has any experience, the truth is that I'm so paranoid I will not talk to anyone about it. I want no one to know what I'm doing.

To rehash this.

1. What kind of potential yield can I expect from a 4x4x7 grow tent?

2. What would be the best way to grow 4 Godzilla sized plants in a grow tent? and what size tent/light would be needed?

I'm willing to go through trial and error, I don't expect to max out on my first couple tries. I simply would like to know what kind of parameters I need to set in order to make my goal a realistic possibility.

Thank you in advance to anyone who would be kind enough to reply, any knowledge is greatly appreciated. I have been reading about this kind of thing for months and try to absorb every bit of fascinating knowledge that I can. However we all have our specific needs, and zero hour approacheth for me (the purchase) and I would like to be as informed as possible before I blow my savings.

4 plants under a 1000w is goin to be your best bet to hit your yield expectations..

I pull between 1.5-1.75 lbs per 1000w light, number of plants don't really matter that much but 4-6 plants in 10 gallon pots works the best.

Great info - Thanks for responses. I'm going to brood over my next step for a while. I can either go with the tent and have everything supplied that I will need with a 600watt light and suffer a smaller yield or build my own with some grow buckets and a 1000watt.

My only concern is the power draw of a 1000 watt in a 1br apt. After some more safety research I will make a decision. The information on yield expectation has been very helpful and I plan on finding a strain that produces good weight.

I think you're on the right track with your plan - and the information you're getting, not sure I can add anything else to what they've said.

Just make sure you're growing with clean techniques, good nutes, and you'll be able to hit your targets.

And let me say, what a great set of goals to have. Very ambitious, in my opinion.

Try out the Advanced Nutrients lineup, if you can. even just the base Grow-Micro-Bloom setup will help you get things started off on the right foot.

And you can use them in hydro or in soil, so if you change your mind about what grow setup to use later on, you can use them too.

good luck - you need to keep people updated.......

i recently just switched to tent setups i just got a 4x8 one but my first tent was a 3x3 i had to chop early and with one of my big mothers (she filled the whole 3x3) i hit just under a p. i used a 400 for the first 2 weeks of flower then kicked to a 600.. i also was just finishing up the last of nutes so i really only used advanced nutrients part a and b since i ran outta all the others.. grow trees and soil is easy to manage and its do-able
