What’s some of the best strains you have grown over the years,

What type of characteristics do you look for in the genetics?

How many beans do use pop on a phyno hunt?

I’m curious to hear people’s experiences with different strains, new genetics, land race, home cross

Educate me!!

Have you tried any of the new generation, all this so called top shelf,

Or is tht only obtained threw pgrs?

Some of the best smoke I’ve had has been jealousy, anything with the pepper nd cream terps,

Best old school has got to be blue cheese nothing can compare to the smell you get off some proper blue cheese

well firstly i haven’t smoked weed since 1990 or earlier,. i’m a hashish smoker..
i quit smoking the weed because at that time all imported weed seemed to have disappeared and was replaced with all this indoor breeder crap, so i became a hashish guy as it continued to being imported,..

So are you just against all the science nd pulling at the genes to enhance certain things

I wasn’t born until 1999 so could only imagine the difference in quality from when you last smoked,

I notice a difference from weed 3 year ago to now nd I’d love to know how much of it is environmental how much is genetics nd how much is it been altered to have certain traits,

Trying to find some cheese or even stuff like amnesia nd stuff these days is rare everyone’s aparrently got the next big thing

Assuming u still grow or know a lot about it, what’s some plant characteristics in veg do you look for tht to you would determine a good phyno?

ok well i don’t look for phenos but id look for a healthy looking with vigorous growth plant maybe also a good smell or stem rub smell..
and if i was to do this i would only use landrace seeds..
breeder stuff has weak genes and the gene pool just gets smaller and smaller with breeding..
marijuana growing in marijuana countries get pollinated with 50-100 males compared to just one.. the more males pollinate a female the stronger the gene pool..

As a grower that was into the breeding scene
First thing I did was define what I wanted in the end.
Then I looked for sources of these traits and pheno hunt those, which was easier before as a strain was a locked down strain and not a variety of weed that is an f1 then back crossed or selfed as is done predominantly now.
Then the breeding starts

I’ve got a couple plants I like there as mothers nd ran them as clones, but curiosity is getting the better of me,
I guess I’m looking for something tht fits my space md time frame something bushy rather than tall,
Solid nugs,
Terpy

It’s just been a while since I popped a bean I don’t wanna throw away what I’ve got for worse genetics,

From your experience what’s been some of the better crosses you’ve seen been grown?

Not born until ‘99… Well depending on where you’re from, you either missed a legacy or dodged a dumpster fire’s worth of woe and heartache. 😁

Some of the best strains that I’ve grown have been Space Queen, GDP, Master Kush, and Headband. Good luck on your hunt! ✌️

Man I've been around growers for a while my dad grows pot since he was a teen and hes with a motor cycle club he does that with them, that said he uses stem rubs for the males top 3 and pollinates all of the girls best smokeing mom is the new queen of the patch, he works one strain or two never like a whole team. He said he lost a northern lights that was super fruity and has a killer high. I guess the old lady threw them out. Hehe he was a slick cat in his day

Out of the 2 strains 6phenos I have I’ve narrowed it down to 2 pheno I like 1 from each strain

Frozen cherry Runtz #1

Jealousy darkness #2

I’ve just ordered
Ice cream cake
And strawberry cough (hope I get a strawb pheno)

As u say I’m still got plenty experience to gain over the years,

I wouldn’t mess with your dad likes wouldn’t want Harley Davidson at my door 😂

Hi Nick , heirloom? We don't have the same technical name in France. Heirloom is an original plant that has never been crossed, is that right?

from what i understood reading about that, a heirloom is just a landrace where you select the plants with the higher cannabinoids content and cross them this resulting in rising the cannabinoid content of the child. will preserving the terpene profile caracteristic of that landrace
