I fit 8 solo cups under a two light 48” no problem. Keep them within a couple inches to prevent stretching, very little heat to burn them. You can add soil to the cup if they do stretch. Set them out in the shade for a couple days to harden them before direct sunlight.

I use 4 grolux 24w t5 bulbs from sylvania in a 1x2 area. The light has a distinct pink hue. The fixture is for aquariums so the bulbs are little close and doesn’t cover 2x2 perfectly but with a bigger fixture it can. Plants love it. You can also go with 6 or 8. It all depends on your space. The fluorescent tubes are pretty gentle on the plants.

Yeah but a warmer colour would be better. 6500K is a bit high in Kelvin. If its all you have fine they’ll not spend that much time under it anyway but next time when you buy bulbs i suggest grolux bulbs or at least something around 4000K.

I’ve been rocking the four foot four bulb T-5’s in 6500k from seed up until it’s time for flower without issue. While it’s getting very crowded now, I have about 16 one gallon pots under one of them.

Looks cool. With grolux the nodes are little further apart. In anycase its not gonna spend that much time under it so all is fine. But if i had to choose i’d choose grolux type bulbs. I used 6500K for a little while and to me grolux seems a little better overall.

So i heard for vegetative the High the kelvin the better low kelvin for flower.I ask because i don't have any knowledge of lamps always stuck with outdoor. But last year i saw that starting them in lamps 24/0 or 20/4 for autos they got really big for a quick time i will try this year to get the maximum of them so i want a really good start.

Thats the thing i have. I will use 2 bodies - 2x36 on a body - so that means 4 tubes 36w
