That's a good question. Along that same thinking, I also wonder how well it will work with control plugs. I use them for heaters and humidifiers from other sources.
I would guess the AI will know it is an on/off device. My understanding is that it will learn how efficient it is at different inside and outside temps, humidity, etc and if one of those parameters is to much that the device isn't working well enough, it will start triggering other devices to help stabilize the environment.
I had the same thought when I saw the promo on my phone app. At $169 it's out of range for an impulse buy. It's intriguing, though. I'll have to read more about it.
I've been using the Controller 69s for awhile now (have 4) and the countless hours I spent learning the system and moving my equipment around, etc so it will run the best it can, I don't see me unraveling it all for the AI controller.
Maybe 1 day but I honestly don't need it so why spend the money.
It's definitely a neat device though, can't wait to see reviews.
I like that I started growing with basic timers, on/off thermostats and hygrostats, and other basic equipment and devices.
Really educated me on environments and controlling them.
I see the AI controller babying new growers though which could lead to issues later on, especially if something were to fail.
That's the world we live in now though, no one wants to learn or really do anything anymore and just expect technology to take care of them without putting in any work.
I grabbed the 69 controller last year by accident.. had no idea they had wifi controllers.. this AI controller looks promising.. and like you said, just out my reach..
hoping to see a growmie review on it.
If you have the regular 69 and not the wifi, you can still download and use the app with Bluetooth so you can use advanced automations and other settings.
Just thought I would mention it in case you didn't know.
