Acai Gelato aka Gelato #49 Clone

Hello and welcome. Im going to share my journey with my Clone of Mr. Sherbinski's Gelato #49 aka Acai Gelato/ Acai Berry Gelato.

I recieved this clone through Kaprikorn Nursery and have recieved valuable genetics through them a few times.

I chose this one because it had the highest percentage of terpenes when tested and its just a bonus that it happens to be Farnesene which i absolutely love.

She is tall and lanky. about 24 inches or so. A very large sized clone but happy and healthy.

Clones as they came. Well rooted. Fairly large clones. No bugs or spots. All in all seem like very good clones. Ive always had extremely good luck with genetics and quality of clone and plant through Kaprikorn. I literally wait all year until spring to get new genetics from them. lmao

4/12/25 another week for the Acai Gelato has gone by. Theyve been in my veg tent. Theyve been getting nitrogen deficient over this week even with the attempt to top dress a bit.

Transplanted into 1 gallon pot today and amended the soil with dr earth 222 and 1 tsp of roots organics terp tea grow 711 and 1 tsp of roots organics microbe charge 212

Im realizing though that the ocean forest soil is already going to be enough for the plants and i didnt need to amend anything during transplant. i hope everything works out and they dont become nitrogen toxic.

They run all of their clones and have others who run their clones and they have them sent in for testing. they have the flower that comes from the clones tested for terpenes and %s as well as cannabinoid content and %

before they let the public get the clones from them, they normally run the clones like 6 times to check viability and whether or not theyre "good enough" for lack of better words lol

yeah i think the differences is also between growers. so different styles and skill levels and environments will give different results.

i grew the same exact clone 3 time recently and got different expressions depending on the time of year and other things i may have done differently. theres was similiaritys in the smell and the effects were the same but the plants structure was different and im sure there were slight differences in cannabanoid percentages

also i didnt get this one specifically for thc content. it has the highest terpene percentages out of the others available at the moment. testing at over 1% of farnesene sounds delightful to me. Gary payton was only at .6

but most strains weren't even hitting .8% and i was choosing more so by terpenes and flavors than i was cannabinoid %

Color is finally starting to come back to the plants. Im setting up a earth box style possibly no till style grow for the first time. sowing my first cover crop to prepare it for future planting

I accidentally snapped the top off while trying to train her cuz shes very tall and stretchy but thats okay because now i have a nice clone going.

4/24/25 i transplanted into 5 gallon pots which will be her final home i think.

I was going to do the make shift earth box but its on my deck and full of soil and too heavy and these plants are growing too quickly so i put 2 autos in the makeshift earth box for now.

I amended the soil with 15 ml dr earth 463, 15 ml dr earth 222 and 10 ml of Terp tea microbe charge

This plant is so lanky that its starting to get difficult to figure out how to train her. Shed probably be a great candidate for sea of green. just clone a bunch and put in 1 gallon pots and no training but just flower and get many top colas.

Tons of mains popping up everywhere. Shes finally starting to fill out after the first month of veg.

Dr earth 463- 40 ml

yeah shes really starting to branch out quite intensely everywhere. i will definitely need to be doing some clones to keep her around. Plan to grow her over the next year

Plants growing nicely. 5/22/25 Sprayed with spinosad as a preventative. 5/23/25 Changed light schedule to 16/8.

took clones. tried a new method of using pure vermiculite and honey before the rooting powder

plant is doing fantastic. on 5/22/25 i switched the light schedule to 16/8 and now today i changed the light schedule to 14/10 and soon we will be full on 12/12. Shes a light feeder and not a heavy drinker.
