I think of VPD as the waters desire to vaporize into the air. The higher the number the higher the rate of evaporation.

If that number is to high, the rate evaporation will be to high, and the plant will close its Stoma. Reducing nutreint uptake.

If that number is to low the plant wont be transpiring enough. Reducing nutreint uptake. Also mold...
