No really. Burrowing insects leave a little bubble of their excrement behind at the location they enter at. Usually they're headed for a stalk.

I would monitor that location once a day until it's done. Just to see what's going on down there.

There's many locations. If it's a bug, it's an infestation of only one plant.

i would, but even if you can't see anything with a loupe i'd be pretty leery of ingesting it in any way shape or form.
maybe somebody else can give you better news
