Just another Just joined member putting out the requisite introduction thread. I have been in forums since AOL chat room days, so I shouldn't have too much trouble here. Been growing for years and other than making minor adjustments to my feeding schedule, I've got a pretty good system going. I have built a dedicated indoor garden in the spare room of my home. It is literally a enclosed room within the room with minimal modifications to the house itself. The flowering room is 6'x8' with it's own floor and ceiling. The home built LED light fixture hangs on a electric hoist and cable system with a sliding guide inspired by a folding ironing board. The LED fixture has 24 cree main Lights, 12 at 3200k and 12 at 6400k. There are 6 200w LED power supplies with each having a on off switch and dimmer control. These are controlled on two banks, red bank and blue bank. In addition to the main lights, the fixture has two LED Emerson Effect boards with far red LED, and finally two 4' T5 UVB bulbs and fixtures. This is all controlled by a iponic 600, including AC, heat, carbon filter and circulation fans. The secret sauce is in the timing of the lights and when each goes on and off. I run a "open room" with no Co2. I use the natural Co2 we breathe with ventilation through a special box placed in the window of the room and a ordinary furnace filter in the door. Both carbon filter and AC is vented out this box. I also built a vegetative area 2'x5' with a 200w cree homebuilt fixture hanging on a motorized lift and controlled by a simple timer for 18/6. I have a 40g water reservoir built into a 2'x2' aclove fed with a ¼in refrigerator line and auto shutoff valve. The water has a electric pump and is piped to both growing areas and aclove with on/off switches in each location. I have a medical recommendation from my state that "allows" 15 plants and have a couple successful grows with this setup. My avatar is a snap of the last harvest, it had great colors.

Thank you for reading!
