Another UC Success Story - 1st run - Thank you everyone for sharing - It's just getting good Day 26

I want to first and foremost THANK all the guys who have helped by posting their knowledge in forums like these; Desert Squirrel, Dan and Chris @ CC, Levi at Green Island in CO, doubled, and all of you, without you NONE of this would have been possible. My wife is a true cancer patient and we are dependant on a large quality crop for her medicine alone; she is juicing non-psychoactive leaves daily, and is in the middle of a Rick Simpson Oil treatment, I could never afford to obtain these amounts without your help; again from the Rainbow Garden Coop, and us personally ~ THANK YOU ALL !!!!!!!

I will now try and post some pics of how I got the room setup and going and what led me to UC after starting my very first every hydro grow only 9 months ago. Now, I have grown in soil, and have been exposed to MMJ for many years; old Rainbow Family, teehee.. So, that said, it's no secret that some are scared of Hydro, esp. UC system, well, I could run it any other way.. I find that everything is so precise and easy to see if you have problems and then corrections are almost immediate; you can see the leaves saying thank you :)

I will post material list and lighting etc.. Just must take a break for now; time to fix dinner..

Here is about 2 weeks later on Day 26 of flower, sorry for the poor photo editing and organization, I wanted to get some stuff up so you guys had a vague idea of what Im talking about and working with.. I am about to lower the lights as they are about 48" away, but I can keep temp below 75 with 1 A/C ( I have 3 - Thought I would need them, NOT - SO about 6 vertical are coming soon).. Oh, and BTW, Ive got the nutes up to 1400 (200 over my target by accident) but I could see hardly ANY burn after 2 days.. Im lowering back to 1200 ish anyway..

I know I have lots to learn and probably could be doing alot better but I did have to start flowering a month sooner than I anticipated, so I do expect the next round to big much larger, I have real NL#5 from seed (feminized) from Holland, they are about 2 months now, will be over 3 months when they go in the UC, Katy bar the door !!

Well I accomplished two things last night; moving lights down to about 1ft over canopy (temps still never saw 74 at meter on top of totes due to 3 A/Cs) and learned to UNPLUG big ass 900cfm turbine fans when replacing vent tubing.. Bout lost a fingertip, lol.. Hurt so bad I went inside, forgot I had the R/O system filling a drum for low ppm feed of soil veg plants; I woke up to a throbbing finger and a wet garage.. Great start for the day; but, can only get better.

Ok, so obviously Im a little outta touch on here, told you I was new to these forums, etc..

Man I love the explosion of growth in that "bubble tray" as you call it.. About how long are they in there? So I dont need to be running a rull out 5 gallon ebb n flow / RDWC Hybrid for my veggers, just do a short dwc like your "bubble bucket"..?? I found 10 gal totes that are not tall like the wal-mart ones, but they are short and wide like a bus pan at a diner, maybe I could use those.. I still have 2 5gal systems running, as I am just now learning about UC.. I thought you needed to veg for 10-12 weeks to get 'em really big first, so my next flower batch is already almost 8 weeks with 4 more to go, it's NL#5 from Holland, seed..

If I could ask any 1 question today, I think it would be, just how big is too big for buckets and spacing in UC with MUCHO LIGHTS and 32K BTU of A/C? My wife would like me to get our numbers down more so I dont have to shell out for 4 more caregiver licences again. The flower room is about 10x16 ish, and veg room is 6x8 but both have 10ft ceilings (garage). Im trying to get the most efficient harvest pattern so that I can harvest once a month, i think.. I am in a legal state, but they argue about what the laws are daily still; there are still wrinkles in Prop 203, lol.. So, After this harvest, Im going all UC i think, but how would you use the two spaces described? I will gladly invest in 10 more lights if thats gonna make 2-3 lb plants.. Suggestions?

Here are some updated pics after another week. They are on day 35 now and last night after the pics, we did a final trim to clear overgrowth, fan leaves, etc... So hopefully there will be another explosion growth spurt in the next few days as always. Some are looking as if they are only a couple weeks out. I have strains in there that were donated/salvaged from someone that I'm not EXACTLY positive what strain they are, but their trichomes are starting to really cloud up way before the other strains. Is it possible that a strain flowers that much faster than another (ie: 3 weeks), are there strains that will complete in 45-48 days? That would be the projected time line for a couple of these as they are turned fast so to speak. These signs of the later stages of the flower cycle are present in a couple while others are in dead middle, with still one or two that seem a week behind.. Im guessing its a combination of all the different strains and conditions from which they came to me. Some were 2 month old soil plants that I xplanted.. So, any advise? Remember fam, this is only my 2nd grow since I started again back in March 2012, last grow was 1991ish; totally different ballgame now. I'm learning though.. Next grow will be in a dedicated location with more space.

Well here we are after another week or so.. Its finally getting close. Saw a few amber tips today, but still have at least a week on some strains, two on others.. Love to hear comments from those of you veterans out there; how are they looking?
