Should i add perlite to the mix? If so what ratio? Are teas essential? Or should i be adding mycco and liquid nutes? With all the issues I've had this year so far I'd like to have ALOT less water retention. And if i switch to liquid nutes I'll be able to adjust accordingly quickly instead of waiting for the pots to dry out and the plants suffering for a prolonged time frame.

I mix 30% #3 perlite into my promix, sorry for your bad luck with those plants in the cold, hope you can salvage them, good luck!

They were all saved. Loss was minimal. Few tips here. Few branches there. Im hating the mix i have with the sunshine yellow #4 and 707. I will def add more perlite to the promix and 707 as I bought the bx by accident. But im buying lots more soil so ill search for the hp next time. Is 50/50 707 and promix bx with say 25% added perlite going to get the drainage i want? Id love to be able to water more than 1x every 2 weeks! Hahaha

Here's pics from this morning. Plants bounced back well. Even made some improvement. Heres pics. Looks like they are hungry to me? Or maybe the soil ph just hasn't come up enough yet. I plan on watering whenever they dry out. When I transplant im definitely gong to add more perlite, some lime. I have prostart...should i add a bit of that as well?? Or will the nutes in the 707 be enough for them in bigger pots? I plan on transplanting most of the big ones this weekend. Another couple weeks and the other ones will get bigger pots as well.

You should choose, inside or outside.....doing both with this type of plant just doesn't work well. Especially if they get any size to them at all later in flower you won't be able to move them around....not without damage.

Next choice is to go organic or dont......reason being is that there are different strategies and nutrients required for each type.

If your going organic, you feed the soil not the plant.....which means microbes in your soil feeds the plant.

Your mix can especially be simplified greatly......75% coco 25% perlite....DONE! With this simple mix you need to provide them with a nutrient like Jacks, or veg+bloom...or similar. Super simp!e, Get some grows under your belt.....

Concentrate on ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS!

No. I have no intentions on moving them around once they are in the bigger pots. I figured that the 707 would provide nutrients and the sunshine#4 would provide aeration...just need to lighten the mix a bit and plan ahead for the ph from the promix by adding lime. Im just asking questions as to best way to mix it using soil. I dont want to go totally organic...just figured the 707 soil would provide some good things to care for thebplant for a bit. I planned on using organic feeds like happy frog...but i may have fed them during their lockout so that didnt help. After the sun burned off the dew they are looking much happier. Yellowing reduced tremendously.
