Gotta grow the cucumbers then you make the pickles. I wish we could just grow pickles. That would be bad ass.

Make sure you grow the right veriety! Don't think you'll be pickling those long English sons of bitches.

Brad makes a damn good pickle. Good starting point and tweak how you see fit :)

Mrs. MMG has been pickling all kinds of veggies. Green beans, cauliflower, asparagus, garlic and pearl onions of various colors, brussel sprouts and carrots.

Oh and a chunk of jalapeño to kick up the flavor like the garlic. All mixed up for mixed pickle jars.

She wont tell the family recipe. My neighbor keeps asking me. She gives jars as gifts.

Hey she just gave me a tip. Use a kosher mix they include more alum which is what keeps the pickles crunchy. Otherwise add extra alum she says.

Hope this helps.

If you grow the cucumbers (boston pickling are the ones I use for that) also make sure to plant dill, mustard, onions, garlic, and prob peppers if you like them with a kick.

Cucumbers are EZ to grow.

Bout to break into these Scotch Bonnet ones. Yum and fire on the way in and out.
