took a reading from one of my rooms in the basement and was considering drying my first harvest in there and am curious to know if the temp and rh are acceptable, or should i explore another room?

I'm going to say it's OK, even though you have already put more thought into your drying area than I've ever done in my life, so I may not be the best source of advice.

The RH will likely go up when you hang the plants. I think you can get a good drying time in. By that I mean 7-10 days or so. You want to avoid having them dry too fast, like 3-4 days, or two slow, like more than 2 weeks.

To cold ide bring it up to at least 65F and RH to 55.
But 45 is acceptable.

thanks! appreciate the responses. took a reading of another room upstairs yesterday and it's more in the 65F and 55RH range so i'll most likely go with that

I’d aim for 65% rh

Wet rag with clean water n bucket added to your space with a fan should help u out a lot.

Move air around
