I would take AC:I over both of those every day. I've never understood why Gorilla tents are so expensive, particularly the whole kits. The only thing I can see is that they're trying to get some cash for the handful of very nominal features they offer. You mean three fat guys can all hang from the tent frame? Where's my wallet? Meanwhile it has zero automation or monitoring beyond a cheap hygrometer; their priorities, and as such costs, are in all the wrong places.

I'm currently using tents from AC Infinity (2x4) and Spider Farmer (2x2). Both seem to be good tents. I also have a ViparSpectra 4x4 tent that I'm not using and a small Cool Grows (2x2) tent that I use for drying. I haven't had any problems with any of them, but I think all the tent sellers could do a better job designing their products.

I suggest making sure the tents have holes in the places where you want them. If you buy a big tent, it's helpful to have more than one way to reach the plants. Some tents only have a door, which means it can be difficult to reach the plants at the back of the tent, so look for a tent that has access from the sides.

I have a 4x4 AC. It is solidly built. 👍

Can’t really speak on the others, never seen them in person. ✌️
ACinfinity 4x8 is about a year and a half old and is still solid, some light leaks through the zipper, like most tents, I’ve ran full runs in room that have lights in and off all day in them, no herm, no issues with the plants in flower

Zazzy 4x4 for the $50 I paid on sale… I’d buy 10 more and keep them ready for the price lol, not the best tents but I’ve had no issue with them no rips, zippers still good after a year, same as above some light leaks, not enough to have ever caused me problems in flower. (Yes photoperiods)

I’ve never used the gorilla but I have heard very good things, and if you have the head space I believe they are the only tent with height extenders (I believe)

Gorilla tents are expensive because they are made with higher quality materials!
My mate has one and compared to my seahawk it's thicker walled, has far better zips which is very important on tents and has from what I've seen a better reflection surface quality!!
Never seen an ac tent but there other stuff I'd good quality so I'd assume their tents are too!
Personally I wouldn't touch anything from Mars or Spider!!

Defenitly thicker, AC infinity also uses the 2000D diamond Mylar, their backing canvas is thinner, not as thin as the Zazzy but about the middle, for their price they hold up very well

I think above all, if you have a dark room the light leaks are the least of the concerns, look at the space your plan to put the tent, where are your outlets, where would the vents be in the tent? Against a wall? Look at the other model, see if that one has a vent on the side in that position instead, what about the vent ducts on top, are the positioned correctly? What about the wire holes, do they work for you?

I am Fan of the net pockets AC infinity has in the tent, and they use metal poles, doors front and back, opposed to the Zazzy only having a single front door (works for me I would have no other entrance options anyways), the Zazzy uses plastic poles, still no bending, plastic corners as well but very heavy and hold well, but it’s the quality difference between buying a $150 tent and a $4-500 tent for the same size.

At the same time I’ve also been thinking of downgrading to 3x 4x4’s as after running w 4x8 and 4x4 side by side for a year and a half ish I’ve found I can get more veg, prep time using more, smaller tents so also think of what you plan to do down the road a bit, which is also another variable, if you plan to breed, multiple, smaller tents may be a better option

My only reasons are the ones I have seen are quality and the height extension

That’s why I want them, height. Cooler upper level and taller plants.

Gorilla tents are nicer than AC Infinity which is a bit nicer than Mars Hydro and Spider Farmer, which are about the same. They are all good enough and its up to you how much extra you are willing to spend for a tad nicer of a product. If money is tight, I would probably say Spider Farmer (or Mars Hydro). They are good enough and you probably won't regret it. But if you don't mind spending a bit more, AC Infinity could be worth it. They are a bit nicer for not much more. Gorilla tents are expensive and great products, but personally not worth the money. Maybe as an expensive splurge/upgrade someday, but I wouldn't recommend it unless money isn't a concern.

A tent is a tent. Ofc some are better quality. I've had light leaks from them all. As far as strength and firm material yes gorilla grow tents are at the top. Which is why I had gotten one. But after purchasing 3 other different brand tents they are all damn near the same my brother.

Also I have a crap ton of light leak from my neighbors side of the basement... if worried about darkness.... my plants are doing just fine.... just something to consider

I get your man and that’s why I’m looking at their lite version of their tents but I want that extra height and that’s the only reason I’m buying them

If the height makes it worth it to you, then go for it. There aren't any wrong answers here. They are all great tents capable of getting the job done. But, buy the size you need, simple as that.
