Hey everyone! i'm new to THC farmer and this my first post here.
i have a little experience growing with coco in fabric pots and
had some pretty awesome results with drain to waste.
that being said drain to waste was becoming a pain in
the ass so i decided to switch it up and try auto pots.
so far i've ran them for two grows. the first grow
was so so using a green planet nute line and unfortunately
the second grow went to shit on me...mostly be being to busy to
to pay proper attention to it.
I'm going to give the auto pots and coco another solid
attempt as i've see other growers be able to dial them in
and get fantastic results.
I'm back to give the auto pots another chance after a 2 year hiatus
from growing and just trying to get some tips and advice to really
get the most out of them.
I'm using the 3.9 gal pot system with 70% coco to 30% Perlite.
When shopping at the local hydro shop i was talked into buying the
Advanced Nutrient starter kit (ill post pics of bottles that are included
below.
after i got home from the hydro shop i started doing a little digging on line
and found that there may have been some better options ie. Canna coco line ect.
i've read that the AN line that i purchased is "PH perfect" meaning you don't adjust
PH because the plants will up take nutrients at a wide variety on the ph scale.
i'm not sure if nute lines like this are designed to be used with RO water
or if i can use my tap water and still disregard ph with in reason.
would a 200$ RO. wall mount unit that attaches to a garden hose
be worth while if i plan to continue to grow in coco?
has anyone ran AN nutes in a hydroponic system and did it run fairly clean?
can the additives like voodo Juice, Bud candy, Over drive, B-52, Big Bud.
be added via top watering in something like auto pots that wick/feed nutrients from
the bottom as i've head salts can build up at the surface and top watering
will force them to the roots. (not sure if thats bro science or an actual fact)
if you're wondering why i didn't get the AN coco line i heard they discontinued it and
i saw someone els posted a message on another forum showing the AN support covo
saying it's been discontinued .
Anyways any info would be muchly appreciated
Thanks again and im looking forward to nerding out with a new community
of growers again : )
