and you do realize that I know 2 dozen desperate growers right now that might take a "good deal" from someone they've just been introduced to because they are 90 days late on their mortgage or other sad story.

That is def shitty and sad.. no doubt. But there's other ways. I have a wife and kids, I grow, but I'd never jeopardize their safety or put them in danger.. id do anything else to make money to take care of them financially than trust complete strangers with a grow of that size. I mean does that make sense?
