Ummmmmm.....Those plastics pots you just drilled a bunch of holes in cost more than fabric pots don't they? And then you had to purchase that fabric liner right?

Why not just get legit frabric pots?? Cheaper, better no doubt, and your not reinventing the wheel.

My new favourite propagation method these nursery bags are tremendous, no transplant stress as you just drop the biodegradable bags into a dibble hole in ur medium and your done

Move over rhizatonic plus I am loving this seaweed as a root stim and so are my ladies

not really the fabric pots are £6 each for the size i use,, and i pick the auto pots up for £2 each from a used hydroponics dealer, but i already had all these lying around and no the 13l buckets were 5 for £4 so total bargain and the liner is from the one pound shop (dollar store) and is 30m long by 2 m wide so in total ive saved a fair bit

11L £7.49 a lot more expensive than about £1 each for a converted bucket , or <£3 for a 2nd hand auto pot with liner included

@TheBioMaster Total for 15 fabric pots is around £75 if bought in one go. Total for 15 of my air pots £13

Then ill post a pic of my roots next time i transplant or harvest and show you how good they are

no it was just the smarmy childish dont try to reinvent the wheel comment so thought id join in. The wheel in this case being a pot, I suppose the Air pots/fabric pots are the ones reinventing the wheel but with great success, so yeah its easier to investigate someones post rather than try nd prove it wrong in the first place, i wouldnt post if i didnt think it could save people a lot of money. I could get REALLY cheap fabric pots in the one pound shop here but they arent very bigor good quality and arent rigid like the solid air pots are, and im pretty sure they are about £10+ for the sizes i use. . Look over my version of an autopot set up. next time I get chance ill post it, saves about half the full retail price of an 8 pot set up, In fact i just made one for someone with a 32 plant set up for the same price as a brand new flexi tank, and works just as well, hes on an all inclusive holiday now spending his savings while his ladies see to themselves for a week. ANYTHING that saves you money IMHO is worth a look over before trying to pull it apart .EVEN MY KIDS KNOW THAT . Anyway Happy growing

The last 6 of the monster cropped big nug, before and after their haircut and stress session. If I hadn't done it before, or I'd let someone else do this to my plants I'd be crying now haha. Plus a few shots of their under carriages and stems. I'm just flowering now and putting all 6 on one side of the tent to get a quicker harvest to make up for what was lost.

Notice I've been a bit less brutal with the pruning due to what happened, gutted as they would be in training to become weight lifting monsters now, oh well roll on harvest day, once the cupboards are stocked again I'll get properly playing

White widow starting to take shape showing nice pistols, gave them a good haircut and a bit of lst, they've been flipped since the 1st after 24 hours darkness and they were that eager and ready there was pistols left right and centre once the lights had been on a few hours I had 1 more but after her ordeal she finally gave up and just sort of deflated

And last but not least ready to turn into Bonsai mothers( my goal is to keep about 12 or 15 different strains as Bonsai mother plants under a cheap Chinese LED light in a 1x1x1m space with co2 and fans but no fresh air or exhaust under the stairs) I've got, 4 gorilla fem from 00 seeds, plus a single Glookies fem, and a single Special Kush #1 but for cuts to replace the big Nug and widow's space when they are finished. I hope I've got good planning skills so hopefully no more dry patches, just a forever harvest 😁

They all sort of sagged as i dont think i had the coco wet enough for them , SOOOO ive just had to go and sort out another 20 cuts and prepare a box dome for them, as it happened ive had a box with loads of pruned stems in the tent for a few days just sat in water, and by a miracle they were swelling at the bottoms and getting sort of white spots, so i decided that if they could try and root themselves as simply as that then ill just give them a helping hand and add to the conditions , left the top open giving them fresh air and circulation, but misted up the inside of a big plastic tub and just placed it in the corner of the tent , out of direct light like the pruned shite was, and lets see how they go, .
Think im just going to get a clone rooter sprayer bubbler thing i see them all using (not buying one though, i refuse to ! haha) Ill just make one from pvc tubing and the attachments with a big bucket and a pump i think, im sure ive seen a youtube video somewhere on how to do it( bet theres a thread on here somewhere too, maybe have a nosey about later and look)

@MHippie has a good design if you search his threads. It was one of his first ones.

Just added an inch of water at the bottom of the tray, then stood the nursery bags on something so theres only a small area sitting in the water, then added 2 air stones bubbling constantly so no stale water and should help them for now, its nearly 2am here so not much i can do right now.But saying that, i do have some hosepipe and fittings to be able to make a water system and sprayers, i just need a water pump and the rest should be easy to Blue Peter (sorry for the non UK members Blue Peter was or still is a kids programme where they used to make things out of recycled stuff and sticky back plastic etc , coining the phrase 'AND HERES ONE WE MADE EARLIER'
I Guess I have them to thank for my Interest and often annoying tend to want to know how and why something works and then try to make it myself but cheaper

Think it might be easier and cheaper to build one of these and it looks like it works really well

I mean Ive rooted inch long cuts with just a single node into the medium and had roots in less than a week, but ive got a feeling that ive cut them a little too small, lights are out in the 18/6 tent so ill have to wait till later to have a look at them, usually leave them on 24 hours but had to move them into the tent in the big box to do what i done last night and there is literally not a spare shoot on the ladies to take any more, so if this doesnt work, ill repot my bonsai mother and grow her out a touch to get cuts from her, then re-root a new mother to save time. Its just pissing me off that a plastic jug sat next to a propogation box with a light insiode can keep 10 cuts alive just sat in water, but the moment they are put into the prop box they deflate and sag, hopefully theyve picked up by tonight. Never had any trouble using just plugs and a t5 strip light in the past with a good success ratio too, but as i had no plugs at hand just went for washed and buffered coco in the nursery bags, wonder if that has somehow affected them? the seedlings love them roots out within 3 days on freshly germed seeds

I would just keep the coco soaked and see what happens.

SUCCESS! Woohoo well they look like they did when they were on the mother now not a droopy stem in site, ill just keep the water topped up to an inchand watch them, plus all the fresh air and air movement should get them nice and strong
