I read about that! Out here someone has been trying to get a biofuel power generating facility built downcountry, but the NIMBY's are keeping it held back. So all that forest 'slash' is just sitting there in the mountains, waiting to burn.

I used 44 pounds of BlueSky Biochar this season;
11 pounds in soil prep pile,
11 pounds in top-dressing prep pile;
22 pounds broadcast over Cannabis garden, vegetable garden, and fruit trees--
so far so good...
