Everything is looking good Bipolar. Don't waste your money on any grow boxes. You are way better off putting that money into a bad ass tent set up.
Keep it up and your passion will pay off.

Good shit man. I wish I had the initiative and ability to build my own set up to save some cash. The secret jardin tents look worth it though if i go that path.

I also am thinking getting those stealth grow cabinets would allow me to not have to go outside my window every day to see if you can hear my fans.

The Northern Lights cabs are the only ones that look worth it. The other cheaper ones don't look as nice but are a fraction of the price.

hey bipolar. did you decide which system to go with? the cap brand ebb & gro buckets seems pretty simple enough. i was looking into the cabs as well, but decided against because of its limitations.

anyways, really interested to see how things turn out for your girls. any updates?

Ok wow its been a very busy past week or so with the holidays so I haven't had time to update or really take care of my plants 100%. Luckily my father came over to help me and the girls are looking better.

Switching to flower now as I started these girls on Nov 25th from clone. Changed my res, added 0-8-16 (grow, micro, bloom), cal mag, bud candy, and superthrive. Going to add hygrozyme tomorow.

Will post pictures in the mornin.

oh also I ordered a new 5x5 secret jardin thats going to be here in a few days, that should be fun setting everything up all over.

No I have not made a decision as to what system that I will be changing to, for now I think I am going to just improve upon my table.

I am going to get insulation to cover the top of my table instead of the panda film that is covering it now.

When the new tent gets here I wont have to use as many fans, my light reflection is going to increase greatly, My light will be raised higher,(and I wont have to hang it from its own seperate light pole, oh and my current tent is not light proof, by that i mean light pears out the seams.

I'd be glad to show you just as long as you don't mind... PM me your camera model number if you need help and I'll do my best...

On a side note, did you defoliate the major fan leaves at each node? :wondering

I'm not really sure if I can answer your question with a yes or a no answer as I don't fully understand it, but the Tahoe (front right) had a bad mite problem so I had to trim the infected growth which was pretty bad, shes the most naked looking one and I think thats why you asked your question since they look a little naked. the other girls where trimmed by my dad who grew outdoors / greenhouse in Iran years ago. I will try to see if i saved pictures i intended to upload but never got to uploading that I took before he got to my plants but I think I deleted them. So far they have responded well to the trim. I can't really explain what he did when he trimmed them because I don't know the terminology / anatomy of the plants well enough yet to describe what I'm cutting and he barely speaks basic english coherently so trying to understand something that even he doesn't understand really sucks. He did the first couple, I finished them up. Maybe I trimmed too much? Thanks for stopping by, super stoked and grateful to get someone with good experience in here. I really want to make a difference and help patients obtain quality meds, I need to learn myself first and I think I'm well on my way to doing that.

Hey Bipolar. Hope your doing well.

Congrats on the tent purchase, much more cost effective than a box.

defoliate = remove leaves
nodes = where the leaves and buds/flowers grow out of the stems

In the pics looks like most, maybe all the large fan leaves were cut off. That may have not been the best approach to getting rid of the spider mites.

Those large fan leaves are like large solar panel that absorb light. More the better! The size of the foliage (leaves stems buds) above the ground is relative to the roots mass. SO more leaves means more roots. A good goal is to build up a healthy plants with as many roots/leaves/bud sites as you can, before going into flower.

After going into to flower, It is normal to then trim the plant to try and get it to focus the energy into creating flowers.

More roots = more flowers.

Leaves will grow back, but better to keep them and treat them for the mites. If there is more than 50% of the surface area damaged by mites then is good idea to remove the leaf. If the leaf is dead then ok to remove it.

Hope that make sense and is helpful.

You doing anything else to make sure those mites are taken care of?

i used a soap spray to kill them, Safer Brand Insect Soap for Organic Gardening 2 days in a row when the lights went out, now I'm going to spray them once a week with Einstein Oil. The growth that I cut was like you said, 50%+ dead/infected growth. But my dad did advise me to do quiet extensive defoliating. Thanks for teaching me the meaning of that word btw! Greatly appreciate the help yall are giving me.

I also have added an additional flood to my flood cycle, I was doing it 2 times a day now I'm doing 3 times a day. I was thinking maybe doing 4 15 min intervals, 8am, 2pm, 8pm, 2am, lights go on at 8pm and off at 8am. Right now I am feeding at 8pm, 6am and then 2pm. No reasoning behind my current schedual other than its the result of my randomly adding a flood and not thinking ahead. I'll have my flood schedual figured out after I do some more research. I figure i havent been able to research a definite answer because not all flood and drain systems are the same, and something like a different medium(hydroton, rockwool, etc. etc.) is going to differentiate what scheduals work best with what systems.

Just been getting things adjusted. I've been sick and dealing with court / alcohol classes so I haven't really had to the time to update. Please forgive me.

So girls got flipped on 1-5-11 to 12/12 so it has been 8 days of flower so far.

The new secret jardin is way better than my last tent. I hope that the extra reflective material will help with my yield more than the white material on the other tent.

I will post updated current pics of the girls when the lights turn back on tonight so you guys can see them.

I bought some 5 gallon buckets to use to store my res water in so i could move the res bucket to the new tent and I am tempted to turn them into a new hydro medium of some sort. I am not happy with my table and plan on buying a water farm system eventually but money is hard right now. Any tips / encouragement on this idea?

Once I figure out the lights I'm going to need for it I am going to also be building a veg cab of some sort. I am thinking of building my own tent Jorge Cervantes style but custimize it for my size of course. If I have the dough to dish out when the time comes I will just buy a small 4x2 tent or something .

I put some pictures up of my space before the tent and after, with out the girls in it.

Image uploading and attaching photos both are giving me errors. I am only uploading 2 at a time too so I have no idea what the problem is. What ever.
