the coco was 2 compressed bricks. (botanicare) and, i crumbled it up by hand which was dusty. since adding the coco coir to the 11litre pots it seems very dense since watering its expanded. its not super loose like it should be. the smallest blue cheese had the smallest roots, tallest blue cheese the largest best looking roots, the smallest one is burried up to its neck as it wanted to fall over. its taken alot of time and mental thought to figure out how to turn the carrabeaner upside down. your right. you win this time FourthCity! (said angerly waving fist) (have not fixed it yet)

First newbie tip to next newbie grower, keep your room extra clean, once you get russets mites its hell and expensive to get ride of them. Bleach and Alcohol are our best friends.

Day 56 Flower update

Thanks for the above tips for cleaning. i started to. gave up abit as its difficult to get in there.

4 blue cheese, im at various stages of feed as i just ran out of canna nutrients and watered them with megacrop at 560ppm (148ppm is tap water)

a branch fell over, in the back, i snipped it and envoked the herbsdryer. its loud and just blows out the air. and the air is totally stinky.

wanted to ask questions cant think of what.

i read on another forum that megacrop will give a bad headache if breathed in.

the farm here is now selling barneys farm blue cheese and it says 52-57 days. the barneys farm web site says 60-65 days.

probably going to get some nitrate(sp?) gloves from the dollar store and prepare.

... the branch that fell was sampled and i think it tastes of nutrients, the floors a mess and im thinking about alcohol and bleaching it though probably wont. switched to mega crop from canna. i think it still needs more time and then a flush of 4 or 7 or 10 day of ph'd water. i think its the canna boost that i can taste.

I Ripped the tent, i stumbled and stepped on it.

The 400 watt futurebrite ballast started failing. i posted another thread to troubleshoot. Swapped the bulbs and problem (light intermittantly goes out) continued. So i was wrestling with the big hood and rearranging the 2 315cmh's

for the next 10-20 days until it finishes i think im stuck using 2 x 315cmh.

If the zipper didn't break you might be able to either Stitch it or staple it I'm no seamstress believe me I would try a stapler but others might have better ideas maybe even duct tape

Don't feel so bad I've tripped on my tent and gone flying both in and out of it, and probably more than once, so far I've managed not to tear it but it happens, hope it works out for you good luck!

Edit: didn't have a light going out like you but I had a ballast that wouldn't start up every now and then and for quite a while it was driving me crazy, turns out the new ballast from ipower had a bad cord. I've also had a timer go bad that affected the lighting, hope this helps

If i put a 600watt or 1000wattt HPS would that be worth it for the next 10-20 days? too finish strong?

lots of bickering on the farm these days i read. thought i'd update the remaining blue cheese (4)

i chopped some tonite though its not ready, lots of white hairs.

i loaded up the dryer unit and the buds were too thick so i had to remove the 'big bud spacer trays' and got a tighter fit.

day 70 of flower. just starting to get some blue fade on 5-7 leaves. giving it more time.

got the rent paid today. cant believe how many days its taking to finish these. day 75 flower

going to add molasses 2 days before chop. it tastes off, i think there is too much earth worm castings in the coco/perlite/earth worm castings mix.

i dont see any amber really. i zoom in on the nicest bud and its cloudy only.

not sure how much longer i can take them as they are getting canna boost and cannazyme 10ml per 15 liters of vented tap.
it brings the ppm to about 180ppm (vented tap ~150ppm + boost and cannzyme = 180ppm total)

i want to add molasses 2 days before chopping as forum readings. the thing is i want to only chop the biggest buds first and let all the bottom popcorn fill out, not sure that will happen.

the above pic looks like it could take 3 more weeks to finish. that would be in the 85 days of 12/12 range. breeder says 52-57 and another breeder site says 60-65 days. the problem is that i started flushing many days ago. i think im starving them now until the end.

Those look close, they're putting out the new white pistils not exactly foxtails but kind of like that, I have some black dog the breeder said 55 days but I must take them to 90 to even get them to show any amber, so don't be surprised that the Breeders numbers don't apply to real life LOL

Thanks @BW! - 3 of the 4 plants have a spread from way not finished to very close to being done in my eyes. this is about my 3rd grow and not easily mentally accepted for them to take so long. ha!

Just bored and posting pic's. ive got the camera so putting it to use, and then get sick of it, like everything else.

$130 for each of the rockstar and god's green crack. my blue cheese is leafy though holds up ok for me except for the taste.

ordering stuff online these days, im addicted i think. first 3 micro pics are gods green crack, 2nd 3 micro pics are of the rockstar

the herbsnow dryer doesnt have the extra 4 plates high(another $42) so i put press and seal around it so the air flows through the top holes and out. i hope it works out.

detailed pics are from 3 stages of growth, young bottom bud/middle bud/and what i thought was a dank bud. none amber oh well.

it doesnt all fit in the dryer, got a window screen out with maybe 1z layed on on it drying...

OMG. They are like trimming pom pom's. took forever. some mold. lots of wet parts in the bud.

The herbsnow dryer dried out in less than 48hrs. not to bend/snap extreme, just enough to bag and stop use of the dryer.

my guess is there is about 8oz's in the dryer, wrapped with saran wrap. man do i feel lucky. killer tent. wish i had a 600watt hps. herbs dryer. and the farm.

Congratulations on your Harvest! The mold was certainly unfortunate, possibly caused by a bit of overcrowding perhaps a few less plants and a little more airflow underneath the canopy would help in the future?

still going at it @BW thanks for posting man. happyness is best shared. im getting tired. 3.5hrs to trim that so far. ive just taken down my last plant, its smaller and the nicest smelling. the others smell like rubber. wet rubber weed. low thc i think. cant win'em all

went out today from isolation. lines ups at the grocery stores, walmart, giant tiger, KFC had a line of cars out to the street.
found my old mini bike from the 80's. its a 1978 honda xr 75cc that needs tlc. the seat is for sale. ha
my best buds are air drying mostly, a couple spent some time in the herbsnow dryer(overloaded) everything else dried in less than 40hrs except these bigger cola's.
i hope everyone is staying cool.

Just wanted to share a vape report as all my effort didnt yield good tasting bud.

blue cheese about 80 days of flower, canna coco nutes, in coco, and finished with 10 days of mega crop then a 10-12 day flush roughly.

i put to much earth worm castings in the coco/perlite/ewc mix and even with adding molasses (warm water 4-5 tablespoons per gallon) for the last 2 days before chop, kinda yucky.

blue cheese isnt a high thc strain and thats what im looking for in suggestions for higher thc medical grade, sweet tasty weed.
thanks for any suggestions.

ive got violater kush seeds though it might be too hard to grow for a rookie,

full line of canna nutes. earth worm casting is the only thing i can think of causing taste. from reading the forum mega crop needs sulpher (sp) to help with terps in flower though thought the canna boost would help and maybe it did though not enough, and then 2 days of molasses i would say did help.
