Okay, specs or whatever first, I guess:

5 x 5 Green Qube
Apache AT600
Coots mix for soil, at about 50% recycled and 50% "new" mix
6" inch Vortex for ventilation and a few fans here and there
Ummmmm.... What else? I dunno.

I sowed 8 Goji seeds and 6 Mountain Temples on August 22. The ones that actually sprouted were all above ground within five days or so. I plant my seeds directly into the soil mix, which might take a little longer, but it seems more natural to me, so that's how I do it. I have to say that of the eight Gojis I sprouted, only six broke ground. Of those six, three turned out to be serious mutants that didn't do anything at all, so they were trashed. I took the remaining three seeds from the pack and sowed those, too. None of those sprouted, sooooo..... Pretty disappointing. I have another pack, hopefully they do a little better whenever the day rolls around that I decide to grow those out.

Five out of six of the Mountain Temples sprouted. So out of 17 total seeds, I got eight plants. Really, really odd, since I've never had less than 100% germination rates before. I really can't put my finger on what might have caused such shitty germination rates, but whatever the reason, it left a bad taste in my mouth, until they started growing haha. They look really good now.

There were some issues the first three or four weeks of veg, mainly heat and humidity issues. It's been extremely hot and very, very dry in LA, especially the first few weeks of these plants' lives. I just could NOT keep the temps down or raise the humidity, even with two humidifiers running, so I eventually decided to just leave the tent open with a big-ass oscillating fan in front of the tent door or whatever when the light is on. Anybody who knows me and my extremely OCD ways knows that this is driving me crazy. I like to keep things as sealed and controlled as possible, but thus far, there's been no issues. And I don't expect there to be. Still, it's driving me fucking crazy to leave the tent open haha...

Straight water for the first thirty days, with the exception of an AACT applied a couple weeks in. Also gave them a TM-7 foliar around day 30, maybe a little earlier than that. I don't know why, but my seedlings always exhibit micronute deficiencies a couple weeks after breaking ground, even when I apply an AACT. The TM-7 foliar always fixes them right up, but it's still annoying haha.

Around day 30, I started watering with kelp meal tea, alfalfa meal tea, sprouted seed tea, aloe, potassium silicate, coconut water etc etc. Not all at once, obviously. Kind of been alternating straight water with "feedings" or whatever you wanna call it. They seem to be responding really, really well to all the various things I've been adding to the water, but I think I'm gonna just give them plain water for a week or so, simply because I don't want to overdo it. But they do seem to have benefited a great deal from the additives or whatever so far.

Forgot to mention, I also watered them with a little bit of all three packs of OG Biowar as soon as they broke ground and then added all three packs dry right underneath the root balls when I transplanted them from their "starter" pots to the half gallon pots I have them in now. If y'all aren't familiar with OG Biowar, get it now and USE IT. It's the shit.

Let's see, what else, what else..... Oh, I topped them about a week ago, most have responded well. Didn't really slow them down at all, new growth started almost immediately, so I guess that's a positive sign. I gotta say, too, that these plants look extremely healthy. Maybe the healthiest I've grown yet. There's a little yellowing on some of the leaf tips, which is why I'm gonna ease off on giving them anything but straight water for a little bit, but they still look really, really good.

Anyway....

Despite the fact that only three Gojis were viable, they're the best-looking plants in the tent. Two of them look very similar: huge fat-ass fan leaves, tallest out of all the plants, very vigorous looking. They're impressing me. The third, which is also impressing me, looks completely different. Much squatter, almost half the height of the other two Gojis, way-thinner leaves, extreeeeeeemely tight internodes. It's really difficult to even get in there and look for pre-flowers. The leaves look really Sativa-ish, actually. It looks really good, too, just totally different from the other Gojis. Here are the two similar-looking ones, Goji #4 and Goji #3:

Here's the thin-leaved one, #7:

It may not be the easiest to tell just how much thinner the leaves are and how much tighter the internodes are than the other two Gojis, but believe me, in person it's totally fucking obvious. Very, very different growth patterns. Which is good. I wanted a variety haha!

Anyway, Mountain Temples.... They're kind of all over the place, lots of differences amongst the five. A few of them already really, really reek. And I think the ones that stink are leaning towards the Appalachia, just because the smell really reminds me of the Prayer Towers I grew a while back. Gnarly, burnt rubber, gross haha. But I like it hahaha!!!

Anyway, here they are. Sorry for the shitty lighting in some of these pics.

#2 has been the most sensitive out of all of the plants. I'm not in love with it, but I like it a lot haha.

Here's #3:

If you can't tell from the pics, the Mountain Temples are really, really branchy.

So that's it. Gonna veg them for a couple more weeks, take clones, transplant blahblahblah. Oh, shit, almost forgot, it's looking like four confirmed females so far, maybe more. Like I said, it's really hard to get into some of these plants and check for pre-flowers, on account of the nodes just being so fucking close together. But I'm pretty sure I've spotted four females. So that's good.

Anyway, yeah, lemme know if y'all think I should be doing anything else. I don't like the yellow spots on some of the leaves, but I think that'll straighten itself out soon enough. Still, if anybody has any ideas, chime in.

Here they are all together. The thin-leaved, squatter Goji is the middle row on the right. The other two Gojis, #3 and #4, are in the back row, the ones on the left and the right. It's pretty easy to tell just how different the #7 is from the other two, I think. Pretty different from all of the plants, now that I'm looking at this pic haha. Shit, man, it's getting dwarfed by all of the other plants. Still, I have a good feeling about #7....

I've recently been offered some diffrent pheno of goji there was thunder egg, Nepali, totem pole and strawberry I might give each 1 a try or any recommendations would be even better :)

Yeah, if you have access to a bunch of different phenos, why not try them all? Like I said last week, it's looking like I have two different phenos. From what I've read, the thin-leaved one leans heavily OG, sooooo..... I'm guessing I have an OG-leaning one and two Snow Lotus-leaning ones, but I don't know. Obviously haha.

I don't think I've heard of the Thunder Egg pheno, but I've smoked a couple different Gojis, not sure which was which. The first one I ever blazed was a lot different than any other Goji I've tried since. It had really, really dense, rock hard nugs and a very almost psychedelic high. It was really good, but it was obviously grown hydroponically, burned super-dirty, black ash etc, so I don't get that one anymore. But the Goji I usually get is very good, too, it just doesn't have that psychedelic thing going on that I really love. I'm hoping one of my three does have that. If not, I still have another pack, maybe I can find it in that one.

Anyway, yeah, get all four of those if you can. Pretty curious about that Thunder Egg....

Okay, so I transplanted all of them into their final home last night. I decided to use seven gallon smart pots this time, as opposed to the three gallon pots that I had been using before. So that's exciting, except they're fucking heavy haha!

It's looking like I got six females, although I'm not positive on one of them. But I couldn't wait any longer to be certain, all of the plants were kind of root bound, so I transplanted them even though I wasn't sure if all of them were female. Anyway, here they are:

The Gojis are in the back row in the middle and right-hand corner. Look how different they are. The middle one is the thin-leaved pheno, #7, and the right hand corner one is the, uh, other pheno haha. It's like twice the size of #7, much fatter leaves, completely different from the other. I don't know why, but I'm very interested in #7. I mean, I'm super-interested in all of them, but something about #7 is really catching my eye. It's got those really thin Sativa-ish leaves, but it's also very squat, extremely compact with tight internodes. It looks like it's growing slower than the other plants, on account of its height and all, but it's not. It's just reeeealllyyyy tight haha.

Mountain Temple #5 is also really catching my eye. That's the one in the middle of the front row. All of the Mountain Temples are pretty different from each other, in case y'all can't tell from the pic, but #5 is reeeeealllyyyy different from the others. Much thinner leaves and a bright green color, too, as opposed to the dark green of all of the other plants. Probably it's some sort of nutrient deficiency haha, but I still like it a lot.

Sooooooo, yeah.... Gave them an epsom salt foliar a few days ago, just because they all looked a little Mg deficient, hopefully it'll help. I'm assuming that was because they were in such small pots, so hopefully they'll start looking a little better now.

Added all three packs of OG Biowar underneath the root ball when I transplanted last night, filled them up with soil (about a 70/30 ratio of "new" soil and recycled soil), then top dressed with gypsum, kelp, neem and fish bone. Covered all of that with a healthy layer of earthworm castings, mulched and called it a day (night, whatever). I'm gonna give them one more ACT in a few days, just need to get some fresh compost and EWC first. I should add, too, that they really, really stink. Just kind of a generic "weed smell" right now, but it's pungent. Again, I like it haha!

One interesting thing: One of the male Gojis that I removed from the tent a few days ago had started flowering. Not pre flowers, but full-on nut sacks. Very strange. The only thing I can think of is maybe because it was seriously root bound? There's definitely no light leaks or anything, so the root bound thing is the only thing that makes sense. Still, kind of odd.

So that's it, I guess. Gonna let them get established, take some cuts and start a little training this week, maybe. Probably start flowering in two weeks or so, I just wanna let those roots start filling in the pots first, then it's ON haha.

Looking good bro, can't wait to see what you got in there.
