BP3000 as first light in 4x4 tent?

Has anybody suscessfully used a Bloom Plus BP3000 through flowering? I've seen a few comments saying that they veged with them, but I couldn't find much on full grows.

I'm setting up my very first grow in a 4 x 4 Gorilla tent in my basement, and I want to get something relatively inexpensive, yet functional, while I make all the other newbie mistakes. My preference would be to DIY something, since I have some decent electronics experience, but I won't be able to get that done in time when my seeds arrive in a couple weeks.

What about adding additional lights for flowering? Maybe I could build some COBs for the corners by the time I need them?

Should I just skip LEDs for now and pick up a CHM/HPS/whatever setup? I'm not concerned about efficiency and heat at this point and can deal with those later.

Amazon has the BP3000 for under $200 today, and it seems like I'd have a hard time setting up anything cheaper with good output at the moment.

i have x1 spider farmer 2000 which is a 200w from the wall light in a 4x4. im about to add my burple which is vipraspecta 600 which i believe is 132w from the wall. so im guessing ill have 332w pulling from the wall in a 4x4 which hope fully is enough for the time been. I will eventually go get another SP2000 to add in

I have buddies which nugs the size of your forearm n mine almost my hand.

The plants will grow great but the crop at the end will be small/low quality

Yeah I guess that’s the perfect world. I was happy with last grow getting 8 oz off one plant

current grow I’ve got bit more power so see how it goes

Can you defoliate lightly when they are in the ‘stretch’? It’s getting very crowded with leaves.

This is a reason u need powerful lights

8 oz off 1 plant was pretty good with only 200w though yeah ? have a look at my profile pics and you will see my last grow

yeah it was in this exact 4x4 tent - not sure on the pots in gallons . but possibly around the 10-15 ? was a decent plant for my real first successful grow. got pics of it all hung and drying on this site somewhere

For 200 watts 8oz is good. For a good 4x4 setup, probably 650-700 watts of power you should pull 1.3-1.5p

Just keep tucking the branches every couple days to the next square. Keep tucking them as they grow out. I will be scrogging as well and I start training my plants young preparing for that even canopy scrog.

Check out grass inclass on YouTube he grows some dank nugs and I believe he uses the same bloom plus model. It’s decent light Forsure I’ve heard of it during my research for lights. Alibaba.com has some nice bores for cheap. Beware of shitty brands tho but kingbrite is really good I’ve used them and they were 130$!!! The part that’s expensive is shipping so it comes out to 200$ a board but still cheaper than spider farmer and 40 more watts (240)

ive just starting tucking them and also bending them to the screen and using tie to attach them down to the screen
