BTK, has anyone used it in later flower with negative effects

Hi, I was plagued last year by bud worms. This year I’ve been using btk for about the last month (it’s sep 18 as I write this). I saw 2 worms on the day I decided to spray. Killed those, sprayed, and found a dead one on the soil in the morning. I’ve sprayed every seven days or so and found two more that I killed on the fourth time I sprayed after a rain. But other than those 4 worms I found, there is no damage or other worms. The 4 only ate part of a couple leaves. Been 8 days and ready for bt again, but has anyone noticed a bad taste when spraying during flowering? Would you avoid spraying the flowers directly with BT and focus more on the leaves? I assume these flowers have a good ways to go?
