Hello and welcome!

I have just finished up my first grow in about 4 years. Plants are hanging to dry, and now that the "return" part is over I am starting a perpetual thread. I learnt a lot from the good people here so I think Ill stick around 😛. You can find my previous thread in the spoiler below.

I grow using Spiderfarmer LEDs and I am using High Powered Organics Full Spectrum living soil. I use the soil-brand of powdered products and top dresses as well. I grow just for myself and for fun.

Clone: 2x2.5, 50w LED
Veg: 4x4, 480w LED
Flower: 5x5, 730w LED

Week 3, day 15 of veg. The last day of the week falls on a Sunday for this grow which makes things easier. Today is the first day of week 3 of veg.
Breeder: HeavyDayze
Strain: Kir Royale (fem)

Their true-age is 36 days. Their veg-age is based on beginning use of the chart products, which I started using 15 days ago. Girls are under 150w of light, and I generally turn the light up once per week, though they've had a break since their topping and transplanting. I will turn up the light when I water them next.

Some shots from the past couple of weeks for context.

Now to today!
They have all bounced back from being topped on the 30th and being transplanted on the 4th into 4.5 litre pots. They are still drying out from their transplant saturation. The fan are huge and they kept clumping up together. They were also shading the branches below, so today I removed the 2 tallest fan leaves off each plant. This also gave them all a bit more room, moisture kept building up between the touching leaves so they are no longer touching.

Top shots. I am most focused on the top 3 nodes becoming developed, and they are now in the light. They will be going into a 5x5 but I am running 8 plants, so I need to be realistic about my expectations. I will probably end up taking the lower branches as clones when the time comes, and leave just the top 3 nodes for flowering.

Always a pleasure Sunin 😁 !

Plants have grown a lot in the past week, and yesterday I noticed the tops looked a bit unhappy. I took out my measure tape, and the plants had grown into my light at a distance of 24" from the LED. I raised my light to 29-30", and today they look great again. They didn't like it obviously, but we aren't looking at any damage. If you look closely you might see some stress on some leaf tips but its subtle.

Hahahaha, cool!!! They mutant growths are actually growing! There are 2 of these growths, one on each side. I moved this plant to the front of the tent. A similar growth on the Grifters never opened up, it just drooped down and looked like a pollen sack, but this one has started growing. I will make this part of my updates from now on, because its fun.

Incredible how sensitive they are on LED at the start isn't it 🤣
Yep I still find it hard to believe haha! Loving it though. 30" is the way to go, I am glad I caught it in time.
much different from old starter lights

what did you use to start seedlings before? HID?
I would use a cheap 50w LED for early seedlings, then a 100w CFL for seedling to early veg (also VERY cheap). Then I would move them under a 400w MH for real veg. For a long time I was on 600w HPS for flower, then I upgraded to 750-1200w (dimmable) when I had an A/C installed and my light busted. In winter I could crank my light up to 1000w without breaking 22 degrees. I was able to house the ballast on a brick in the lung room, that was a huge help in keeping temps down.

similar here. I am a 1000W HPS grower. I had dog cooling pad under balast 🤣 for years. very handy
big tile works as well as brick 🤣 oh shit- good old times

LED is much more comfortable with temp
with humidity not so much 😉

HAHA a tile would work great as well, you're right! I had to go and buy a brick for my ballast, I had no spare bricks in my house 🤣 was a strange interaction.
Me: Hello, I would like a brick please.
Store: Sure, how many?
Me: Just one. I would like 1 single brick please.
Store: O.. Kay....

Yes I am finding I am often fighting higher humidity now, even as it gets warmer. I bought a small dehumidifier that does the trick thankfully. If I didn't have it my veg room would be spiking to 70%, so I have it running in there keeping it at 60%.

Week 3 of veg, day 20. It has been 41 days since seed. I watered yesterday, but I was too busy to post or take pictures.
100 1322

6 days after transplant the roots had reached the bottom of all the pots, and 3 days later they were dry. Soil recently charged so only rhizo in this water. They drank 1 litre yesterday. There are some size and development differences. They all have between 4-5 nodes, and I have boosted the 2 shortest phenos.
100 1323

4 plants were ready to be bud-clipped, the others were not. I applied bud-clips to any main colas that were long enough. I couldn't wait any longer 🤷‍♂️ I will just have to note other phenos are less stretchy and bud clip them later.

I was wondering why wasnt recieving notifications from your post, here you are! I must have missed the message where you said you were gonna open a new thread if you said it. Theyre looking healthy!
Hahaha thank you man! Its all good my friend, its good to see you! I am pretty happy with how they have been going, the first dry back went well, I just wish the rest of the plants tops would hurry up and stretch 🤣 it kills me that I cant bud clip them all yet. I appreciate it man, I learnt a lot from you guys and girls here, this run is gonna be smooth I can feel it!

I bud clipped another 2 plants. The plant in the middle was so close that I thought I could do it, but she didn't fit so I took the clips off. I will try to bud clip the last 2 plants again in 2 days.

Even canopy shot. I purchased more booster seats for my plants and I got it level.

Thanks man I appreciate it 😍 and thanks for checking out my new thread! I think I better understand the products I use and how to tend to the soil, and this place is to thank for that. It was around this time that my Grifters suffered from overwatering, so it’s a pleasure to skip that mistake this time 🤣 .
Of course! I really enjoy checking stuff out, seeing what everyone is doing and how they’re doing it : )
You got to experience the over watering once and it wasn’t for you!😂 ✌️

Yes, so veg day started the day I begun usage of chart products, at a development stage of 3+ nodes per plant, and I topped them a few days later. Seedlings were open for light on 04/08, which puts my plants at 42 days old in total, so yes 20 days growth before counting veg. Counting it this way allows me to follow my chart more closely, but I always post their true-age as well so people can see how old they really are.

Me too man, I plan to get into breeding once I am confident, got regular seeds ready to go, and this place is a perfect resource for it, I love seeing peoples projects. Yep that is one mistake I pray I only learn once. When they go into flower they will be going into 15L pots, a lot easier to manage than what I was originally planning 🥶 I thought better of such big containers and downsized my expectations. 8 plants.. Gotta be conscious of space.
