Im think im going to slowly build a plastic stake set up. I have used bamboo in the veggie garden, it works but they do wear down! And I can see cleaning the plastic being quick and easy.

Not sure if I missed this picture or what but damn dude!😍
Haha thanks man theyre hanging to dry now. I can recommend the plastic stakes, I even used them when I was in coco, and I love that you can reuse them over and over. I just use dishsoap and paper towels, super easy and they are ready for another run!

sold! ill see what the hardware store has tomorrow! I dont need all 50 or 60 right now, so that works out to be able to piece a nice plastic setup together. : )

you use the plant stakes for tying off your plants?
Hey man! You betcha! I drive them in pretty deep and I use them as an anchor. You can either directly tie branches to the stake, or you can use rubber LST wire to wrap around the heavy part of the branch then attach the other end of the wire to your stake so you can stake multiple branches with 1 stake 😁 but it has to be firmly drove in if you do that.

Here is an example of using 1 stake for 2 branches. This was one of my girls after removing the fan leaves before chop so you can see it pretty clearly in this picture.

Week 8 of Veg, day 53.

Today I went into my tent and I noticed that 2 of my plants werent sitting quite right. They were leaning very slightly to one side, and is probably due to not being 100% level in the pot. I fixed this with LST wire wrapped around the stem and attached it a paperclip.

Girls are very happy, and they are just PUMPING out fresh growth.

Thank you both so much! I am on cruise control for the next 2 weeks 🤣 I love the time after transplant, because I know I don't have to do anything for at least 7-10 days.

Lil update on the girls hanging to dry. They are still slightly moist, but they are on their way to being ready. It will be day 7 tomorrow which means I will start doing the snap-test every morning. I checked on pheno 5 and I am glad to report that she has retained most of her purple colour, though it is a little hard to see.

LOL I would be lying if I said I haven't laid on my back looking up at my plants 🤣 really happy with how this grow went!

Thank you so much! I am hoping this next grow goes even smoother 😁 got them in large pots again which usually goes much easier for soil.

Gratz on that awesome harvest!!🥳

Snapping the stems: if it "cracks" it's dry and ready to cure. If they just bend they're not.
Pulling off a bud and pull some stem with same, not ready.

YEP 100%! That is correct. I do other tests, too. I do the snap test, then the grind and smoke test. I like to grind a few buds up because I like to see that there is enough moisture in the bud that it clumps together in the bowl instead of spreading out, but then I roll a joint with it and as long as it smokes its ready for cure 😁 . I don't like putting buds into cure that have so much moisture you cant smoke them, in the past it has left me with slightly moist buds for months, so this test has always given me good results at the end.

I have been keeping temps low and humidity at 55-60% so even though I removed all fan leaves they are still not dry yet after 7 days 😁 GREAT SUCCESS! I am HOPING for a 10 day dry, but I did a snap test today and I have a feeling they will be done in 2 days from now.

Gratz man! They look good and the "time lapse" is very cool, Id love to taste it. If anyting I would say dont be afraid to remove more leaves, specially if theyre not getting light directly, you can maximize the size of those buds if you do that 😁 I know you defoliated them a couple of times but they still have too many vegetal material taking resources from the plant that is not photosynthesizing so its only leeching. Veg matter on the bottom is just there to store food but you give them food so you dont really need to pay the price of having those buffer leaves, in many cases they will detach with a gentle touch or on their own even if theyre green because the plant doesnt want them.
I leave a couple on the bottom sometimes, I call them control leaves. If the plant gets hungry they let me know, if the tips get burned I back up with nutes. But just 1 or 2 per plant, then I only leave the top leaves that are getting direct light and not much else, they look very naked compared to yours but after some bud fattening the tent looks aighty :D

I know theyre not the best looking plants, unfortunately I had to go with bulk freebie seeds this run but I already stacked seeds from barney's farm this black friday, get a 3-5 pack and get another free, it was great! Got dos-si-dos 33 from barney's, kmintz from ripper seeds and fruity jack (2:1 THC CBD) from philosopher seeds. I love black friday 😍
Disclaimer: I went a bit harder with these plants because theyre not quality genetics so Im only leaving the best colas, once you get the hang of it you know which ones to remove, with better seeds I would have removed less stems but they were sad looking.

Hey man thanks for the kind words! Yeah I think I could have gone a bit harder this round with defoliation, I am going to go a little harder this time around. I have 4 clones going in soon, I just need to wait for my harvest to finish drying in the next few days. After I get the hanging buds out of there I am going to sterilize the tent then move the girls in the next day.

I got 4 big girls this time, in 29L pots, so it is going to be a MUCH bigger grow. Since the transplant I haven't touched them so they have been pumping out new growth, new tops absolutely everywhere. The new shoots here I could have sworn weren't there yesterday morning.

They are looking super healthy! And those side shoots are definetely catching up with the tops quickly! You can see in mine many of the side shoots didnt make it to the top of the net, they still have 2 weeks to grow but still thats not good, tried feeding them a bit more the only thing I did was burn some tips, now I remember why I have a stack of dozens of freebies that I dont touch.
Right now Im envious of those plants 😛

They have been alive for a while now, so I think they really appreciated the top dress I loaded into their new pots. I have them all bud-clipped, you can see the little red clips here and there, and they have been a game changer for me. I get a really good spread on all my branches now, very happy with them. Thanks man, I am hoping this grow will look prettier than my last. I fucked up last grow I just harvested with too many fans, high heat and humidity with my appliances set incorrectly but no disaster, this time. I got lucky, very very lucky. I was misreading my temp/humidity gauge. My inlet was ontop of my tent inside my closet, no duct to my A/C, so only the hottest air in the closet was making it up there, and all the cold air stayed lower in the lung room. I thought my gauge was telling me it was 22 inside my tent and 26-28 outside, but it was the exact opposite. For about 2/3 of my grow my girls were in high heat and I had no idea. I fixed it my securing a duct directly to my A/C.
Agreed fam that’s a beautiful canopy!
Thank you my friend! Cant believe I slept so long on bud clips, these things make shit so much easier. I get a full canopy with almost no effort, I love these clip thingys hahahaha.
